hopes of getting more improvements at Many’s Hart Airport

Patchwork

I have many fond memories of Christmas morning. I loved to run downstairs and see all the presents under the tree. Daddy
would already be downstairs having his first cup of coffee and patiently waiting for little brother and me to come racing
into the living room. The tree lights were on…..and Santa had arrived, as he always did!!

EDWIN EDWARDS

Edwin Edwards stated, after his recent defeat for Congress where he gathered only 37% of the vote, that this was his last run for office. Whether  you supported Edwin Edwards or not, he walked tall in the political circles for over 30 years ad many of us crossed paths with him in some way or another.

Patchwork

His name was Tipsy Tuxedo and he was referred to as “the cat who came for Christmas and never went home!” Tipsy started out in Natchitoches as a kitten. He was black with a “Got Milk?” mustache, a white chest, white boots and a tail that constantly swished. His whiskers were long and white and he had the typical black cat personality of “I can do anything I want!” (And he did!!)

Do Wars defend America’s Freedom?

U.S. politicians and pundits are fond of saying that America’s wars have defended America’s freedom. But the historical record doesn’t bear out this contention. In fact, over the past century, U.S. wars have triggered major encroachments upon civil liberties.

Speaking Out for Louisiana Citizens

There goes the post office, the health unit, Wright’s Appliances, Massingill’s Appliances, Williams Brothers – these are
the places that I recall occupying the old building that was recently destroyed at the corner of Ash Street and San Antonio
Avenue, across the street from Many City Hall.

Patchwork

I feel sorry for the poor old Thanksgiving turkey. All week long, he has been offended. Ladies across the parish have been busy as bees putting up their Christmas holiday decorations and their trees, wreaths and outside lights. It’s not even Thanksgiving yet, girls!!
