Renita Parent, 58, of Alexandria passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Renita is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Birdie McLendon; maternal grandparents, Ernest Sr. and Nancy Rodrigues; granddaughter, Sophia Kay Parent; and sister-in-law, Becky Byles McLendon.

Linda Lou Hardy was born on Saturday, November 5, 1949 in Shreveport. She passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at her residence in Many. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Davis and Alice (Lewis) Davis; son, Jackie Hardy and her sister, Kathy Davis.

She is survived by her husband, A. G. Hardy, Jr. of Many; daughter, Barbie Hardy of DeRidder, Louisiana; brother, Glynn Davis of Rockwall, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A private family graveside service will be held in Mt. Freedom Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

A private family graveside service for Josh Harrell, 29, of Belmont, will be held at Belmont Cemetery with Rev. John Lewing II, officiating.

Josh Harrell was born on Friday, March 8, 1991 in East Baton Rouge. He passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 in Belmont.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Angel Marie Dailey; paternal grandparents, Melton and Etoyce Free; and maternal grandmother, Ann Reese.

He is survived by his wife, Olivia Harrell of Belmont; children, Justin Harrell and Jordyn Liles of Belmont; father, Ricky Harrell and wife Wanda of Turkey Creek. Louisiana; sister, Heather Harrell of Turkey Creek, Louisiana; brother, Hunter Harrell and wife Tessa of Belmont; adopted family, Carlton and Brenda Salley of Belmont; Wayne and Leslie Salley of Belmont; Jamey and Claudia Salley of Belmont; Baylse, Blayne; Eli and Isaac Salley of Belmont; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A soul winged its way to heaven peacefully in her sleep on April 5, 2020. Mary Murphy Thomas a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt went to be with her Lord.

Mary was born March 15, 1936 to Dewey and Anne Murphy in the “infamous” village of Zwolle. Growing up in Many, many will remember her as a daring, sassy, confident, young lady. While attending Many High School, she endeared herself to many teachers and classmates. She was a Homecoming Maid, elected most popular and best all around student plus a cheerleader for the Many Tigers. After graduating high school, she attended Northwestern on a nursing scholarship. During her freshman year she was chosen Top Beauty, a very coveted award.

Graveside services honoring the life of Silas Ebarb were held at St. Ann Catholic Cemetery on April 7, 2020 with Brother Jimmy Price and Vicar Joel Hicks officiating. Silas was born July 1, 1940 in Ebarb to Evelyn (Sepulvado) Ebarb and Ira Ebarb, Sr. and entered into rest on April 5, 2020. He served honorably in the United States Navy.

Harry C Allen Jr.,74, passed away peacefully in his home in Noble on Sunday April 5th . Harry was born in Arkansas on September 10,1945. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Shirley M Allen and Harry Allen Sr.

He is survived by his partner and love of over 30 years Mary Ellen McMillion .

He also leaves a sur viving sister Sandra H Allen Reid of Arkansas.

Preceding him in death are brothers, Wayne Walter Allen and Ronald Emery Allen. Mourning his passing are his three daughters, Sherry ( George) Allen of Illinois; Tasha (Rick) Allen of Illinois; Carol McMillion-Huffman ( David) of Knoxville, Tennessee. He loved and was loved by a host of grandchildren. He enjoyed every single minute with them. Tanya Kirkpatrick, Nicholas Mussari, Ariana Mussari, Korey McMillion (Tiffany) Alexandria Marr, Jaclynn Marr, Catherine Marr, and Marian Linhart. Harry had 3 great grandchildren, Zoey Jayne McMillion, Ava Lora Miller, and Kylee Linhart .

Hippler Family Cemetery with Brother Kenneth Leach officiating. Lucille Randolph Hippler was born December 24, 1929 in Fisher to Samuel Randolph and Nellie (Beason) Randolph and entered into rest on April 10, 2020.

Lucille enjoyed a great life which she lived to the fullest. Among some of her favorite things to do were quilting, cooking, gardening, tending to her animals, and watching soap operas. In addition, she loved spending time with all of her family.

Ora Green was born on Monday, October 5, 1931 in Marthaville. She passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Sabine Medical Center in Many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernice A. Green; parents, Emery Steven Lewis and Bessie Pearl (Free) Lewis; two brothers, Walter Lewis and Fred Lewis; and two sisters, Alice Davis and Andie Hayes.

She is survived by her daughter, Bernice Green of Marthaville; son, Steve Green and wife Pam of Marthaville; granddaughters, Monica Patton of Marthaville, and Stephanie Waters and husband Chris of Marthaville; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers: Seth Patton, Randy Bostian, Brad Ford, Jerry Wayne Manasco, Kerry Singletary and Kevin Lewis.

Honorary Pallbearers: Aidan Patton, Christopher Waters, Noah Waters, Chris Waters and Ted Singletary.

Dr. Karen McFerrin, 70, passed away on March 28, 2020, following a lengthy illness. She was born May 15, 1949, in Shreveport.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lynn McMichael; and her father Garnett Richard McGuirt. She is survived by her loving husband, Calvin; daughters, Laura McFerrin Stutes (husband Ryan); Angela; Kayla; sons, Jonas McFerrin (wife Kelsey) and Jess McFerrin (wife Marci); sister, Brenda Sanders (husband Dearl); brother, Dr. G Richard McGuirt (wife Gloria); grandchildren, Miles, Conner, Analise, Jaden, and Adalee. She will be dearly missed.
