Billy Ray Green, 88, of Many, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on February 7, 2022.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022, and will continue on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., located at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Many Chapel. Funeral services honoring Billy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the chapel. Officiating the service will be his great nephew, Bro. Rusty Hall. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Many, Louisiana.

Billy was born on February 22, 1933, in Red River Parish, Louisiana to Duxie Bennon Green and Gertrude Minerva Steveson Green.

Roma Veuleman passed away peacefully in her home February 1, 2022. She was 74. She is survived by her children: Elton R. Savell (Kristi), James A. “Bugs” Veuleman, Jr. (Ashley), Leah V. Byles (Gale); eight grandchildren: Cecily, Blake, Scott, John Tyler, Sydni, Blain, Nolan, Layton; six great-grandchildren: Zoey, Gavin, Weston, Tucker, Kasyn, and Kolt; three sisters: Fran Knott of Grapevine, TX, Syble Gandy of Many, and Rita Roark of Negreet; and two brothers: Gene Wright of Negreet, and Tony Wright of Denton TX.

Bobby Eugene Salter was born on Tuesday, October 30, 1951 in Many, LA. He passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Florien, LA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickey Salter; parents, J. B. and Maxine (Spears) Salter; son, Jeremy Salter; sister, Carolyn Holcomb; and brother-in-law, Coy Holcomb.

Houston Marvin “H.M.” Booker

A service to honor the life of Mr. Houston Marvin (H.M.) Booker will be held at 1 pm on Monday, February 7, 2022 in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Beulah Methodist Cemetery in Marthaville, LA. The family will receive friends from 10 am until service time on Monday the 7th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.

H.M., 92 years of age and a resident of Marthaville, passed away on January 29, 2022. He was born on November 11, 1930 to Tom Houston Booker and Ethel Brittain Booker in Converse, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Versie Rea Sanders Booker; and a daughter, Brenda Baxter. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1950.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Jackson Childress and Sylvia Inez (King) Childress; her brother Joe Childress and sister Malola Hardy.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Knippers of Noble, LA; sister Sherry Williams and husband Ray of Belmont, LA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers: Clay Childress, Jerry Manasco, Jamey Manasco, Andrew Newman, Josh Simmons and Lance Leone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Evelyn Stovall.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Pugh of Melbourne, FL; sisters, Jane Taylor of Felda, FL and Betty Quianthy of Melbourne, FL; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Jerry passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. He was born in Converse on February 5, 1938, to Rixie and Gladys Graham McDonald. He graduated from Converse High School and served as Sunday school secretary and Deacon of First Baptist Church in Converse. He was a veteran of the Armed Forces. He received a business degree from Northwestern State University and graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Masters +30 in Administrations, Supervision and Guidance Counseling.

Gerald Wayne Malley

Gerald Wayne Malley, 76, was born on September 4, 1945 in Minden, Louisiana to Herschel Sylvester and Frances Cox Malley and passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Gerald graduated from Northwestern State College in Natchitoches, Louisiana, where he played defensive nose guard. He was a member of the 1966 undefeated Demons football team, who was ranked #1 nationally, and received numerous awards during his college career including All Gulf Conference, MVP-Defensive Lineman. He was an educator and Assistant Director of Sabine Valley Vocational Technical School and was an Instrumentation Engineer for Mobile Oil Company, where he worked in the Gulf of Mexico and overseas before his retirement.
