Cyndle Rowe Eyre, our much-loved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. She was only 34 years old. She is survived by her two children: Lucas and Sullivan; parents: Richard and Sabina Rowe; two sisters: Leacy Aycock (John) and Chelsea Rowe; grandmother: Patricia Crow; nephew: Tripp Aycock; niece: Allie Aycock; two uncles: David Rowe (Carole) and Chad Crow (Colleen); one aunt: Sandy Maier (Phil); and five cousins: Josh and Logan Crow and Don, Molly, and Addie Rowe.

Today, she is reunited with loved ones gone before her: grandmother: Marjorie Rowe and grandfathers: Don Rowe and Robert Crow.

Billy Ezernack, Sr., 79, of Zwolle, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on April 7, 2022.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, Louisiana. Funeral services honoring the life of Gene will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Zwolle, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Msgr. Earl V. Provenza. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.

Doris K. Sepulvado

Doris Sepulvado, 80, Warrenton, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2022.

Doris was born in Flo, Mississippi on December 31, 1941, grew up in California and Louisiana, went to school and graduated in 1959 from Zwolle High School. She was Catholic by faith and a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Thomson, Georgia. Doris was co-owner of De Ralco, Inc. and secretary and treasurer of the business. She enjoyed cooking, horseback riding and fishing, and Doris especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral services for Justin Procell, 34, of Noble were held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Keith Garvin officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

Justin Shane Procell was born on Friday, March 18, 1988 in Shreveport. He passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 in Zwolle. Justin had a heart of gold. He loved his family with all his being. He was the life of the party and always made everyone around him laugh. He will be truly missed by everyone.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Roy Procell; sister, Amanda Gayle Stewart; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Hazel Faircloth; and his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Blanche Procell.

Funeral services for Pamela Salter, 62, of Many was held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Little Flock Baptist Church with Rev. Ottis Branam officiating. Burial followed in the Little Flock Cemetery.

Pamela Salter was born on Saturday, June 20, 1959 in Many. She passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 in Alexandria.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lymon and Yvonne (Speights) Salter and her brother, Doug Salter.

She is survived by her son, James Parker and wife Jaime of Harahan, Louisiana; daughter, Tahauna Olivo and husband Juan of Many; brother, Dan Salter and wife Penny of Many; grandchildren: Rodney Cross and wife Jessica, Austin Cross and wife Rachel, Payton Cross and wife McKinsey, Jaydn Lehr, James Parker, II, Phillip Lehr and Mattilyn Lehr; great grandchildren, Alistair Cross and Elizabeth Cross; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Michael O’Briant, 65, of Many were held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Lewing officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Michael O’Briant was born on Monday, May 21, 1956 in Waxahachie, Texas. He passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at his home in Many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Carl and Louise (Templin) O’Briant; grandson, Kaleb Brewer; granddaughter, Clarissa Snider; brother, Larry O’Briant; step-mother, Lucille O’Briant.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Roberts of Many; daughters, Tina Garibay and husband John of Mart, Texas; Ginger Perry and husband Derreck of Florien; Elizabeth Starks of Texas; and Cassie Brewer and husband Chris of Many; son, Michael O’Briant, Jr. and wife Mechelle of Florien; sister, Serita Zajdel and husband Richard of Bufflow, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Muriel Louise Lucius

Graveside services for Muriel Lucius, 77, of Florien were held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Beckom Cemetery with Rev. Bill Craft officiating.

Muriel Lucius was born on Sunday, July 30, 1944. She passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Mrs. Lucius was a teacher at Florien Elementary for thirteen years. During this time, she became a mother to many, thinking of her students as her own.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ottis Craft; mother, Maudie (Powell) Canterbury; step-father, Jack Canterbury; and her two brothers, Eugene and Bill Craft.

She is survived by her husband, Herman Lucius of Florien; sons, Robert Lucius of Florien; Matthew Lucius and wife Ma-Joana of Florien; grandson, Matthew Angelo Lucius of Florien; granddaughter, Hazel Aubrey Lucius of Florien; cousin, Cheryl Craft of Vidor, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Edward Dappen, 79, of Zwolle entered into eternal rest on March 12, 2022.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, Louisiana. Interment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery located at 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63125.

Edward was born on November 2, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to Edward Bernard Dappen and Cleophas Ann Fisher Dappen.

Retired Captain Edward T. Dappen was a decorated war hero from the Vietnam War. He lived his life the way he wanted and loved his children and grandchildren to the moon and back! He was the BEST Uncle to all the Gorski Clan and the BEST Brother-In-Law in the WORLD!

Preceding Edward are his parents, Edward and Cleophas Dappen; and brother-in-law, Jerry Gorski.

Luther “Luke” Edward Halpain, Jr.

Luther Halpain, Jr., born January 17, 1934, went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2022.

Graveside services honoring the life of Luther were held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, located at Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery in Zwolle, Louisiana.

Luke is preceded in death by his loving wife, Rose Grayson Halpain; his, daughter, Stacey Elizabeth Halpain; and his parents, Luther Halpain, Sr. and Louise Grinsted Halpain. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Halpain Piehler; son, Mark Edward Halpain; grandchildren, Dennis Piehler; Michael Piehler (Tara); Nichole Johnson (Zack); Shayna Halpain (Chris); great-grandchildren; Emma; Victor; Zander; Stella; and Joshua (Dan-Dan).

Luke was raised and worked in the oilfield and retired in 1990. He moved to Toledo Bend to enjoy his favorite past time, fishing. A more dedicated, honest, and caring man would be hard to find. He leaves a legacy of hard work, understanding, and loving memories with his friends and family.

Glenn Dowden

Funeral services for Glenn Dowden, 74, of Many, were held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Lakeside Baptist Church with Brother Bill Craft officiating. Burial followed in the Lakeside Cemetery.

Glenn Dowden was born on Monday, November 10, 1947 in Natchitoches. He passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Edith Young Dowden; brother, James “Jimmy” Dowden; and his grandson, Jude Matthew Gentry. Mr. Dowden graduated from Natchitoches High School in 1966 and served in the U.S. Navy from April 1967 to May 1971 during the Vietnam War.
