Barbara Horton Phares

Funeral services for Barbara Horton Phares, 86, of Many, were held on September 14, 2019 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Spiller officiating. Burial followed in the Many Cemetery.

Barbara Horton Phares was born on Monday, November 14, 1932 in Shreveport. She passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches. She was preceded in death by her parents, D. M. Horton and Lillette Hastings Horton; maternal grandmother, Nina Hastings; and sister, Rosemary Woody.

She is survived by her husband, Glen Gailor Phares of Many; sons, Richard Phares and wife Kelly of Discovery Bay, Hong Kong and Kent Phares and wife Missy of Many; one granddaughter, Bella Phares; sister, Kay H. Smith of Monroe, North Carolina; along with a host of friends.

Pallbearers: Ken Craig, Jack Phares, Nathan Jenkins, Jeremy Costner, Jason Magnon and Mike Nichols.

Patricia Ann Zuel

Funeral services for Patricia Zuel, 83, of Pleasant Hill, were held on September 4, 2019 at Blue Ridge Methodist Church with Rev. David Hill officiating. Burial followed in the Spring Ridge Cemetery.

Patricia Ann Zuel was born on Wednesday, November 13, 1935 in Olathe, Kansas. She passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at her home in Pleasant Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Goldie (Tharp) Cross; sons, Steve and Bill Zuel; daughter, Theresa Sue Zuel; brother, Charles Cross; sister, Barbara Ranney.

She is survived by her husband, Leslie Zuel of Pleasant Hill; daughter,

Sherry Masters of Royce City, Texas.; sister, Kathy Rusconi and husband Jim of Holt, Missouri; brother, Jean Cross of Tonganoxie, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Debra Zuel of Pleasant Hill; four grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

David Sepulvado

Funeral services for David Sepulvado, 86, of Zwolle, were held on September 9, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Joseph Ampatt officiating. Burial followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

David Sepulvado was born on Friday, August 11, 1933 in Sabine Parish. He passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 in Zwolle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Sepulvado; son, David Kenneth Sepulvado; parents, Louis Sepulvado and Mary Jane (Cartinez) Sepulvado; brothers and sisters; Curtis Sepulvado, Eldon Sepulvado, Harold Sepulvado, Robert Sepulvado, Sally Allred, Faye Basco, Angie Wilson and Bertie Lunt; and sons-in-law, Larry Campbell and Herman Dewayne Parrie.

Patricia Ganzinotti was a resident of Many, Louisiana. She passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Memorial services were held on August 31, 2019 at Minong, Wisconsin. Patricia Ganzinotti was born on October 6, 1944 in Selma, California. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Leonard Ganzinotti Sr. and Mary John Guynes (Johnnie Watson). She is survived by her son, Shane Begley and wife Stephanie Begley of Minong, Wisconsin; daughter, Danell Begley and her spouse David Jackson of Westminster, Colorado; brother, Edward Leonard Ganzinotti, II of Houston, Texas; sister, Diane Lenton of Citrus Heights, California; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mildred Ann Blankenship will be held at Noble Baptist Church in Noble, LA on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jimmy Price officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation at the Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel in Mansfield, LA on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse, LA.

Mildred was born on August 8, 1937 in Converse, Louisiana to M.B. Thompson and Myrtle Lee Cobbs-Thompson. She entered into rest on August 26, 2019 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Blankenship; brother, Henry Thompson; sisters, Virginia McDonald and Jeanette English.

Graveside services for Charlene Ann McCormic, 59, of Many were held on August 22, 2019 at Oak Hill cemetery with Rev. Mike Henderson officiating.

Charlene McCormic was born on Tuesday, February 16, 1960 in Zwolle. She passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in Many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Jewel (Kelly) Wedgeworth; son, Trey McCormic; and brothers, Rickey Wedgeworth and Michael Wedgeworth.

She is survived by her husband, Kenny McCormic of Many; daughter, Carissa McCormic and fiancé Tim Giles of Sacramento, California; son, Joshua McCormic and wife Erin of Many; grandchildren, Megan McCormic and Tre’ McCormic both of Many; sister, Sharon Montang of Many; aunt, Peggy Crittenden of Many; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were Kenny Mac McCormic, Kevin McCormic, Joshua McCormic, Tim Giles, John McCormic, Blake Byles, Charlie Mason, and Clay Henry.

Visitation for BJ will begin at 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at Aimwell Cemetery in Zwolle, LA. Barbara was born August 27, 1930 in Peoria, Illinois to Rudy Scholl and Gladys Craig Scholl and she entered into rest on August 24, 2019 at Toledo Retirement.

William Wayne Laroux

Funeral services for Mr. William Laroux 76, of Zwolle, were held on August 24, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Norsworthy officiating. Interment followed at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. William W. Laroux was born July 19, 1943 to Ethel (Sepulvado) and Walter Laroux in Zwolle. In 1965, he married his loving wife, Patsy Cartinez. Together, they welcomed three children; they loved to square dance, hunt, and to spend time with their family. He was always an outstanding provider to his wife and children. In 1969, he moved his family to Houston as he worked construction as a welder and iron worker. In 1970, he moved his family back to Zwolle so his first child could begin school and he began working at Willamette Industries Inc. His next work adventure would lead him to the logging industry as a saw contractor until 1989 when he became disabled due to a work-related incident.

Sherrill Anslinger was born on Tuesday, July 20, 1937 in Ferriday, Louisiana. She passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 in Many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Colyer Culpepper Weathersby and Maxine (Dozier) Weathersby; husband, William H. Anslinger; and sister, Ann Weathersby Hale.

She is survived by her son, Steve Anslinger and wife Miriam of Sparta, Tennessee; two nieces, Melanie Hale Phillips of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Tracie Hale Smith of Vicksburg, Mississippi; along with a host of friends.

Glen Elwin Drewett

Glen Drewett was born March 2, 1932 and passed away on August 13, 2019. Glen was the son of the late Stella Hooper and Glen William Drewett of Jena, Louisiana. He is survived by his younger sister, Mary Ann Drewett Gainey of Plano, Texas; his son’s, Al Drewett and wife Judy Hippler Drewett, and Fred Drewett; daughter, Laura Drewett Sellers and husband Donald Sellers, and a host of grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first daughter, Brenda Drewett; eldest son, Mike Drewett, and the wife he loved for 40 years, Jacquelyn Hollis Drewett.

Before his graduation from Jefferson Military Academy, Glen was Commander of the Pershing Rifle Team and remained an expert on arms and marksmanship for life. He continued to attend reunions at the academy until recently. Mr. Drewett was a 2nd Lieutenant of the 101st Airborne, in charge of ordnance and a paratrooper. Also, piloting aircraft was major interest.
