June T. Neal

June T. Neal was born February 14, 1926 in Converse to Colon Thames and Eddie Vines Thames and entered into rest on September 13, 2019. Funeral services were held on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Many, Louisiana with Brother Jimmy Price officiating. Mrs. Neal will be buried at the Noble Cemetery following her services at the funeral home.

Roy Wayne Windham

Roy was born December 29, 1948 in Shreveport, LA to Leo Marshall Windham, Sr. and Shirley Ann Nichols Windham and passed away on September 16, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2019 at Lewing Town Chapel at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral in Many, LA on Wednesday, September 17 , 2019 from 5:00PM-10:00 PM.

Roy was honorably discharged from the Army as a Sergeant in 1976 after serving a tour in the Vietnam War. While protecting his country Roy was recognized with several medals and badges which included: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Service Star, Purple Heart, and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge.

Mary was born November 20, 1934 in Zwolle to Earnest Procell and Mary Lillie (Sepulvado) Procell and entered into rest on September 19, 2019 at her residence. Her funeral mass were held on September 21, 2019 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Ebarb with Fr. Joseph Ampatt officiating. Burial followed in the St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery.

Jack Cotton

Funeral services for Jack Cotton were held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at Central Baptist Church in Robeline where he has been a long-time active member of the church. Funeral services will be officiated by Bro. Claude Weatherford. Burial followed at the church cemetery.

Jack was born on February 26, 1936, to Joab and Elizabeth Cordova Cotton in Robeline and passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at the age of 83. He served four years in the United States Air Force. He was a longtime resident of Keithville, Louisiana. He was employed at AMF Beard Industries and later became owner and proprietor of A-1Fence and Power Wash. He always had a great love for his family especially his grandchildren. Jack never met a stranger and was always willing to help others.

Graveside services for Garthe Wright, 69, of Many, were held on September 17, 2019 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Cemetery with Deacon Mike Sullivan and Father Francis Kamau officiating.

Garthe Wright was born on Friday, January 20, 1950 in Many. He passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019 in Many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Burton and Alene (Rivers) Wright.

He is survived by his sister, Sandra Lynn Wright Rowland of Antlers, Oklahoma; aunt, Marilyn “Tookie” Geist of Gray, Louisiana; nephews, Zane Rowlands and Nickolas Rowland both of Antlers, Oklahoma; along with a host of friends.

Benny Ray Rivers

Funeral services for Mr. Benny Ray “Dude” Rivers 72, of Zwolle, were held on September 13, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Francis Kamau, FMH officiating. Interment followed at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Benny was born May 3, 1947 to Elzado (Sepulvado) and Robert Odis Rivers in Converse and he went to be with the Good Lord on September 9, 2019. He married his loving wife; Wanda Jeter and they have celebrated 52 years of wedded bliss. Together, they welcomed six children into their home.

Dr. Robert Adam Brocato

Dr. Robert Brocato, 37, of Many, died Sunday, Sept. 8,2019.

He is survived by his mother Mary Beth Key Brocato of Many. He is also survived by his wife Amanda Smith Brocato of Youngsville, Louisiana. and his beloved dogs: Daisy May, Rocky, and Louie.

Also surviving Robert are his aunt Jeanette Moran of New Orleans, many cousins and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Robert Maestri Brocato; his maternal grandparents, John Adam and Flarcie Miller Key of Many; and paternal grandparents, Diamond Jim Brocato Moran and Mary Latino Brocato of New Orleans.

Robert was a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic School in Natchitoches where he was the class valedictorian in 2000. He graduated with honors from Centenary College in Shreveport in 2004. His major was biology. He was a proud member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

Bryant A. Weatherspoon Jr.

Bryant was born on August 8th, 1962 to Bryant and Rose Weatherspoon and was raised in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated high school there.

After high school he worked in Restaurant Management. He also was an exterminator and a security guard. He decided to join the Unite States Army and was stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

When he got out of the military, he made Many, Louisiana his home. He attended NSU where he graduated with honors, with a degree in Psychology. He then stumbled on to what would be his true vocation, Auto Mechanics. He perfected his craft at Burr’s Garage where he worked for years. Later he worked for Stewart’s Auto Sales. His love for mechanics was with him till the end.

Bryant was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his son, Bryant Weatherspoon III; sisters, Rochelle, Sabrina, and Christa all of Detroit, Michigan; brothers, Mark of Detroit, Michigan and Scott of Chatsworth, California.

Shirley Ann Wells was born on Saturday, January 4, 1936 in Zwolle. She passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 in Zwolle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vandie V. Paulette and Lillie Mae (Yates) Paulette; brother, Vandie V. Paulette; sisters, Lorraine Flanagan, Duna Mae Neel, Delores Woodle, Jeanie Woods and Joy Paulette.

Col. (Ret.) Gary Allen Jones

Gary Allen Jones, 76, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.

A service to celebrate his life with military honors was held on September 13, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 212 12th Street, Columbus, Georgia with the Reverend Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating. Family visited with friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church. A private burial was held in Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, his family wishes for memorial contributions to be made to: First Baptist Church of Columbus, P.O.
