Memorial services for William Michael Berger, 69, were Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Siloam Baptist Church on La. 191, Many. The Rev. Wilton Anthony officiated. Mr. Berger was a native of St. Paul, Minn. He had lived in this area for the past several years. Mr. Berger served our country in the United States Navy. He was orn on August 30, 1944, and entered
into eternal rest on Nov. 8, 2013. He retired from AT&T. Mr. Berger was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Berger and son, Tracy Thames. He is survived by son, Robert Thames and wife, June; granddaughter, Cheryl Bensinger and husband Tom; grandsons, Robert M. Thames and Brandon Thames; great-grandchildren, Rachel Bensinger, Issaac Bensinger, Tye Smock, Cassimira Thames, William Bensinger, Makayla Thames, Jeremiah Thames and many other family members and friends. Ronald Paul Rachal

Ronald Paul Rachal passed away Nov. 7, 2013, at the age of 64. He was a former resident of Many and Beaumont, Texas. Ronnie served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked as a plumber. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father Paul I. Rachal and is survived by his son, Justin Rachal; mother, Katie Rains Rachal; sister, Melanie Barrett and brothers, Michael and Phillip Rachal. Private family services will be held.

Arlon M. Skinner

Funeral services for Arlon M. Skinner, 89, were at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Fellowship Baptist Church in the Oak Gove community. The family received friends at the church from 11 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Arlon was born Oct. 24, 1924. in Florien to Amos and Elizabeth Norwsorthy Skinner and passed away at his residence on Oct. 29, 2013. He was a retired agriculture teacher and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Preceding Mr. Arlon in death were his parents; sisters Maydelle and Lynelle; and brother Doyle Skinner. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years Betty Mixon Skinner; sons Lonnie Skinner and wife Toni, Barry Skinner, and Richard Skinner and wife Susan; brother John Skinner and wife Rosa; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Mary Dottie Thomas

Services for Mary Dottie Thomas, 95, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 21,2013, at the Shady Grove Baptist Church on La. 191 North. Interment followed in the Shady Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Donnie Paul Lewing officiated. Visitation was held at the church beginning at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 until the time of the service. Mrs. Thomas was a native of Sabine Parish. She was born on Nov. 14, 1917, to Paul and Alice Guevara. Mrs. Thomas owned and operated the Bison Marina and Fishing Camp for many years. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters, William Guevara, Jim Phillips and Evelina Guevara. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends, including special niece, Mildred Jordan. Honoring Mrs. Thomas by serving as pallbearers were Randy Jordan, Dillon Manshack, Mike Anderson, Chad Strickland, James Thomas, Col. George Rose and James Anderson.
