Kathleen H. Evans, 68, passed away on Monday Dec. 2, 2013. She was born March 27, 1945, in Crowley to Cecil

and Bernice (Barbour) Kathleen was a lifelong Louisiana resident and was employed as a registered nurse in neonatal intensive care and later in life in home health care before her retirement. She is survived by her husband, Carl Evans; daughter, Angel Durr of Shreveport; son, Robert Stewart, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Kelly Hawkins of Roseburg, Ore.; 

and three grandchildren, Kimberly Durr, Elizabeth Kilby and Kathrine Kilby, all of Shreveport. 

Funeral services for Margie Nell Meshell, 81, of Zwolle, were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many with the Rev. Glenn Howard officiating. Burial followed in the Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. Visitation was held beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many. Margie Nell Meshell was born on Sunday, Oct. 9, 1932, in Zwolle. She passed away on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at her residence in Zwolle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Nellie Miles 

Funeral services honoring the life of T. J. Rains, 24, of Many, will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Mitchell Baptist Church. The Rev. Bobby Russell and the Rev. Ernest Rains will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. T.J. was born in Shreveport on Feb. 27, 1989. He entered into eternal rest on Dec. 5, 2013, in

Hazel Hickey, a force in Longview’s banking, cultural and not-for-profit communities, died Dec. 2, 2013 at Good Shepherd Hospital, after a 10-year battle with leukemia. Mrs. Hickey was 84-yearsold. A celebration of Hazel’s
