Funeral services for Caleb Lee, 5, of Zwolle, were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at New Freedom  Fellowship Church in Zwolle with the Rev. Dean Hillman officiating. Burial followed in the New Freedom Fellowship Cemetery in Zwolle. Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, beginning at 6 p.m. at New Freedom Fellowship Church in Zwolle. Caleb Lee was born on Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, in Shreveport. He passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at L.S.U. Medical Center in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Earline 
Teater. He is survived by his mother, Pamela Teater Lee of Zwolle; father, Doug Lee of Zwolle; sister, Hilary Neel of Zwolle; brothers, Myles Burr and Tanner Burr both of Zwolle; maternal grandfather,  Tommy Teater of Zwolle; paternal grandmother, Fay Lee of Zwolle; along with a host of friends. Charles Alanceson Raines

Charles Alanceson Raines (1928-2014), writer, scholar, educator, and Southern gentleman, died on Feb. 4, 2014,
at his home in upstate New York. Mr. Raines was a graduate of Centenary College and Tulane University. He taught
English at Centenary and at the City College of New York on Staten Island. In addition to his wife, Kathleen Ordway-Raines, he is survived by his one son, Dr. Robert Charles Bozeman Raines, and wife, Kathleen McCutcheon Raines, of Bluemont, Va.; four grandsons, Dallas Alanceson, Devon Mc- Cutcheon, Max Devereaux and Charles Bozeman, and two
brothers, Harold Raines of Marshall, Texas, and Quinton Raines of New York City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Dudley Raines and Hoyt E. Raines. Merthia Jr. Hardin

Hardin, Merthia, Jr., (known as Jr.) 73, of Many, departed this life March 14, 2014. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Thames; father, Merthia Hardin, Sr.; stepfather, Homer Thames; and brother, Michael Thames, all from Union, Miss.. Jr. retired from Gulf Industries, Inc., in Shreveport after more than 20 years of service. Jr. loved living in Many  and he especially loved fishing at Teledo Bend. He is survived by six children, who live in Chicago, Ill., Richmond, VA and Memphis, TN, seven grandchildren, one niece, a good friend, Stan Vines, and a host of other relatives and friends. Family members will be at Jr’s home in Many on April 13, 2014 for condolenses. A private memorial service will be held for Jr. in his  hometown, Union, Miss., in May 2014.

Interment followed in the St. Ann Cemetery. She was born on Sept. 8, 1961, in Shreveport. She entered into eternal rest at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer on March 27, 2014. Wilbur “Sonny” Hayes Farrar, 80, beloved husband, father, grandfather,  brother, uncle and friend to many, went to be with The Lord on March 27, 2014.
