Services for Pauline Re-nee Erwin Sigler were held July 2 in the Oak Grove Bible Church in Hornbeck.Pauline was born Aug. 19, 1961 to Billy George and Ruby Rae McKee Erwin in Shreve-port and passed away on Sat-urday, June 27, 2015 at her residence in Hornbeck at the age of 53 years. Growing up in Hornbeck, she was a 1979 graduate of Hornbeck High School and was a homemaker.

Betty Howard

Services for Mrs. Betty Pauline Cavanaugh Howard were held July 4 at Castor Bap-tist Church in Leesville. Mrs. Betty was born on April 10, 1943 in Leesville and passed away on July 2, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish growing up in Slagle, graduating from Lees-ville High School and spending her married life in Hornbeck. Affectionately known as the First Lady of Vernon Parish, Mrs. Betty spent 33 years as the secretary of Hornbeck High School. She knew every child and was often called to act as the tooth fairy by pulling teeth. Even after she retired she at-tended Hornets’ basketball games whenever she could. She loved her family fiercely as well as her community and often times they were the same. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland Morris and Mable Jeane Cavanaugh. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Frankie Alden Howard of Hornbeck, sons, Robert and wife, Shonda Howard, of Horn-beck, Rodney and wife, Kim Howard, of Ft.

Funeral Services for Minnie Jane Faust, 94, of Robe-line, were held on July 12 at Friendship Nazarene Church in Robeline with the Rev. Daniel Lowe officiating. Buri-al followed in the Friendship Nazarene Cemetery in Robe-line. Minnie Jane Faust was born on Thursday, March 10, 1921 in Cypress. She passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Sabine Retirement and Re-habilitation Center in Many.She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney El-bert Faust; grandson, Doyle Wayne Faust, Jr. and parents, Benjamin and Nancy Moss.She is survived by her children, Juanita Schweitzer of Leesville, Doyle Faust of Minden, Benny E. Faust of Belmont, Sharon Koss of Many, Diana Dupré of Opelousas, Michael Faust of New Llano, Renee Faust of Many and S. Derek Faust of Opelousas; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; a host of great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.Pallbearers were Jeff Self, Kris Schweitzer, Greg Faust, Benny Faust, Jr., Brad Koss and Sidney D.

The Celebrant was Father Thomas Elavunkal, CMI, pastor of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Many.Herman was born in Shreveport on Oct. 22, 1983 and entered into rest on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at LSU Medical Center. He lived in Zwolle and drove a skidder in the logging industry.He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Earl Parrie; grandparents, Phillip Parrie, Sr.

Jill Elliot

Funeral services honoring the life of Jill Faye Stewart Elliott, 70, were held July 3 at the Noble Baptist Church in Noble with the Reverends Jimmy Price and Vernon Stephenson. Preceding Jill in death are parents, Ollie and Ethel Stewart; brother, O.R. “Peg” Stewart; sister, Hazel Grice and infant niece Brenda Jean Grice. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, James Elliott; daughter, Angel Jackson and husband, Thomas “T.J.” and grandchildren Chris and Kate Jackson; son, Chris Elliott and granddaughter Emilie Kirspel. Funeral services for Kathy Ciel Ramsey Lang, 61, of Many, were held on June 17, at First Baptist Church Of Many with the Rev. Wilton Anthony and Pastor Jim Manning officiating. Burial followed in the Many Cem-etery. Kathy Ciel Ramsey Lang was born on Tuesday, March 2, 1954 in DeRidder. She passed away on Mon-day, June 15, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle against can-cer.She was preceded in death by her parents, A. B. “Bunny” Ramsey and Lucille Ramsey and her sister, Lana Ramsey Jones. Kathy taught elementary educa-tion for over 17 years in both public and private school systems. She left the field of education to become the primary care giver to her mother, Lu-cille. She was a proud member of the Many Pilot Club and had rose though the ranks to become a very young President. Kathy was also a member of the Eastern Star.
