Harry Leon “Lee” Casteel

A memorial service honoring the life of Harry Leon “Lee” Casteel, 78, of Many, will be held on Saturday, November 7 at 11 a.m. at Little Flock Baptist Church. The Rev. Otis Branam will officiate. Mr. Casteel was born on July 21, 1937 in Alta Loma, Texas. He entered into eternal rest at his residence on October 26, 2015. He was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and defended his country in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Raymond Casteel and LaVerne Davis; sister-in-law, Emma- Jean Casteel; double first cousins, Larry and Linda Casteel and granddaughter, DeLisa Foster.

A private memorial celebrating the life of Debbie Langley was held for the family Sunday, November 1 at her home. She was a beloved wife, mother, and maw. She was survived by her husband, Don Langley; daughter, Katey Jeffrey and son-in-law, Jeff Jeffrey; son, Dean Langley and daughter-in-law, Jessica Forestier; mother, Iva Kate and father, Dean Metcalf; sister, Kathy Staraj; brothers, Tony and Tim Metcalf and her grandsons, Tyler Page and Trevor Jeffrey. Funeral Services for Jeffrey Alan Moore, 60, of Leesville were held on November 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle with Father Thomas Elavunkal officiating. Burial followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Jeffrey Moore was born on Friday, September 2, 1955 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, James Harrison Moore and step-father, Ronald Goad. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Bass Moore of Leesville; son, James Alan Moore of Leesville; mother, Shirley Goad of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Cindy Bazon of Leesville and Melissa Moore of Fort Worth, Texas along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Sally Smith

Sally Jo Philbrick Smith, 75, of Center, Texas went to her heavenly home on Thursday, October 22, 2015. Funeral service was held October 24 at First Baptist Church in Center with the Reverends Russ Atwood and Lee Dickson officiating. Graveside service was held October 25 at Sibley Cemetery in Florien. Mrs. Smith was born July 26, 1940, in Dallas, Texas to Charles Baxter Philbrick and Thelma Jewel Cunningham Philbrick. She graduated from Sunset high school in Dallas, class of 1958. She received an undergraduate degree in education from Howard Payne University and a graduate degree in Special Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. She was a homemaker, mother and teacher. She was active in ministries to the hearing impaired early in her life, even interpreting at a Billy Graham crusade in Dallas.
