Darren "DJ" Frazier

Memorial services honoring the life of Darren “DJ” Frazier, 25, were held June 9 at Wallace Baptist Church, in Wallace. DJ was born on September 29, 1990 to his parents, Darren and Kathy Frazier and went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2016. DJ was known by many and a friend to all. Always kind and affectionate and a true comedian. His magnetic personality and beautiful smile could light up a room. DJ was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and motorcycles. He was a thrill seeker, adventurer, and fearless in every way. Larger than life. Preceding DJ in death were his paternal grandparents, Neal and Ernel Frazier and daughter, Isabelle Hope Frazier. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Darren and Kathy Frazier; maternal grandparents, Roger and Chris Anders; wife, Julie Frazier, and numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Carl LeLand Hardy

Carl LeLand Hardy, 67, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on June 6, 2016. Funeral services were held June 11 with a viewing beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints in Many. Burial followed at Fort Jesup Cemetery in Many. The Patriot Guard led the procession and welcomed all motorcycles. Born in Many, on October 7, 1948, he was the son of Emmit Oliver Hardy and Mildred Mae Scott Hardy. Carl was a veteran of the United States Army who served his country in Vietnam. He was a horse loving, gun totin’, motorcycle riding friend to everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Emmit Ray Hardy; nephew, Vincent Ray Hardy and his grandson, Keldon Gene Hardy.

Burial followed at Aimwell Baptist Church in Zwolle. Ivy was born on October 23, 1944 in Highlands, Texas to Lubie and Julia Fay Warren and passed away on June 8, 2016 with her family by her side. Preceding her in death were her parents, Lubie and Julia Warren; sisters, Bobbie Onken, Hazel Stein, and Shirley Nugent. She is survived by her husband, Odis Armstrong; son, Ray Armstrong; daughters, Joy Nell Atkinson and husband, Daniel S. Burial followed in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Dinah Davis was born on Monday, September 4, 1916 in Many. She passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Sabine Medical Center in Many. Mrs. Davis served in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved dancing and doing alterations for her customers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Grappe and Mary Moore Grappe; sons, Gene Davis and Charles Ralph Davis; grandson, Mike Davis; four brothers and two sisters.

Ivan was born on February 16, 1935 in Milam County, Texas to Roy and Oquida Crouch and passed away on June 7, 2016 while doing what he loves, working in his garden. Preceding him in death were his parents, Roy and Oquida Crouch; two sisters; two brothers and nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Irene Brandon, 75, of Many, were held on June 12 at First Baptist Church of Zwolle with the Rev. Jerry Penfield officiating. Burial followed in the Zwolle Cemetery. Irene Brandon was born on Sunday, December 15, 1940 in Sabine Parish. She passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at her residence in Many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Jennie V. Brandon and her brother, Earl Brandon. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sharon Brandon DeWitt and husband, Johnny, Mike Brandon and wife, Tatiana, Ronnie Brandon and wife, Pollie, and Karen Brandon Stonecipher and husband, Roger; sister-in-law, Joan Brandon; nine great nephews, three great nieces, along with a host of cousins and friends. Pallbearers were Rory Brandon, Jarred Brandon, Sam Brandon, Daryl Dyess, Nathan Brandon, and Luke Brandon. Honorary Pallbearers were Stanley Brandon, Doug Brandon, Lawrence Brandon, and Heath Brandon.

Maxine Horner

Maxine Horner was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on July 9, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace Thomason Hill. In 1944 she was united in marriage to Howard Horner, who preceded his wife in death September 3, 1986. Mrs. Horner was the owner and operator of Horner’s Florist for 25 years. She also had worked for Brown Shoe in Selmer, Dyer, and Savannah. Mrs. Horner was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Tennessee. She loved talking to friends and family and was a very devoted mother, grannie, and ma. Mrs.
