Janice Garcie

Janice L. Carlson Garcie, 69, of Zwolle passed away on March 10, 2017 at 5:20 p.m. at Sabine Medical Center in Many. She was born November 27, 1947 in Peoria, Illinois to Arthur G. and Barbara Scholl J. Carlson. She was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Arthur “Butch” Carlson. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Sparks of Zwolle; son, Brian Dunbar of Chillicothe, Illinois; daughter, Tammara Howell of Nokomis, Illinois; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and sister, Ann Brown of Peoria, Illinois. Cremation has been accorded. There will be no visitation. Burial of Ashes will be in the Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery in Zwolle at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Humane Society.

Funeral Services for Margie Marie Ebarb, 77, of Noble were held March 20 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Richard Norsworthy officiating. Burial followed in the St. Ann Catholic Cemetery in Ebarb. She was born on Monday, January 29, 1940 in Sabine Parish. She passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Sabine Medical Center in Many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Meshell and Julie Sepulvado Meshell; husband, Virgil Joseph Ebarb; son, Ricky Ebarb; sisters, Rena Rutherford and Catherine Procell; and brothers, Elden Meshell, T.J. Meshell and Herman Meshell. She is survived by her daughters, Connie Ebarb Manshack and special friend, Anthony Taylor, of Many, Natalie Bugg and husband, William “Billy,” of Many, Angela Ritter and special friend, Joseph Dungca, of Many and Jessica Ebarb and special friend, Jonathan Malmay, of Zwolle; son, Virgil Joseph “Joey” Ebarb Jr.

Funeral Services for R.E. “Bobby” Conerly, Jr., 76, of Florien, were held on March 21 at Prospect Community Church with Bro. John Lewing officiating. Burial followed in the Prospect Cemetery. He was born on Saturday, January 25, 1941 in Houston, Texas. He passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.E. Conerly, Sr. and Oma Barker Conerly; sister, Sandra Gibson Layfield; and grandson, Matthew Scott Evans. He is survived by his wife, Judy Conerly of Florien; daughter, Karen Evans and husband, James of Pineland, Texas; son, Bobby “Bo” Conerly of Florien; brother, John Conerly and wife, Janie, of Florien; grandchildren, Christopher Evans and wife, Natalie, of Pineland, Texas, and Alyssa Evans of Pineland, Texas; great grandchildren, Troy Lee Evans and Josie Lynn Evans of Pineland, Texas; very special nephew, Jonathan Westbrook of Pineville; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Marie Boothe

Funeral services honoring the life of Edith Marie Boothe, 90, were held February 25 at Toledo Bend Church of Christ of Toledo Town in Many. The Rev. James Tidwell officiated and burial followed in the Toledo Bend Church of Christ Cemetery. She was born on August 26, 1926 in Alabama to Dewitt Shirley and Ada Atteberry Shirley. She passed away on February 22, 2017 while residing at Sabine Retirement Center of Many. Preceding her in death were her husband, James Franklin Boothe and brothers, Ray Shirley, J.C. Shirley, Hubert Shirley, and DeWitt Shirley Jr. She is survived by her sons, James Franklin Boothe of Corinth, Texas and Marvin Wilson Boothe of Elgin, Oklahoma; daughter, Glory White of Many; sisters, Floree Myers of Semmes, Alabama, Fern Nelson of Semmes, Alabama, Carrol Chastain of Mobile, Alabama and Raven Williams of Mobile, Alabama. She was blessed with nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.

Joe Weber III

Memorial services honoring the life of Joe Weber III, 69, were held March 25 at Henrietta Congregational Methodist Church in Converse with the Rev. Chucky Clark officiating. Joe was born on March 3, 1948 in Trenton, New Jersey to Florence and Joseph Weber, Jr. and entered into rest on March 16, 2017 in Mansfield. In his life Joe found a joy in friends, family, cars, trains, and planes, which he piloted for many years. In recent years, he rejoiced playing Santa for local children and assisting in VBS at Henrietta Methodist Church. Preceding Joe in death was his parents, Florence and Joseph Weber, Jr. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Tamara J. Simmons of Converse; son, Shawn Simmons of Many; daughters, Heather Anne Weber of Converse, Christy Scott, and Reva Spencer both of Nixa, Missouri; and very close friend, Kenny Maltby of Winchester, California.
