Adam Lloyd Jeter

Funeral services honoring the life of Adam Lloyd Jeter, 34, of Zwolle were held December 19 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Zwolle with Father Richard Norsworthy officiating. Burial followed at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. He was born October 4, 1983 in Shreveport to Tommy and Kae Acklin Jeter, and entered into rest December 15, 2017 in Zwolle. Adam grew up with a strong love for his family, deer hunting, fishing, running dogs at the fox pen, and working in the hay fields with his dad and brothers. He was a very hard worker at any job he held and had a kind heart that would help anyone out in need. He enjoyed spending time with his nephews, nieces and special aunt, Brenda Sepulvado and family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nick and Winnie Acklin; and paternal grandparents, W.F. “Dub” and Mary Jeter.

Roger Brent Hornsby, 59 of Marthaville passed away at his residence on Sunday November 5, 2017. He was born January 8, 1958 in Pleasant Hill to Evelyn Farmer and Mark Hornsby. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, Jake Hornsby and wife, Jamie, of Zwolle; brother, Frank Hornsby and wife, Sherry, of Anacoco; sister, Mary Byles and husband, Valmore Byles of Many; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Burial followed at Union Springs Cemetery in Converse. She was born September 29, 1933 to David and Mabel Lassiter and entered into rest December 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Lorrie Gulett; husband, Harlan C. Kenney; and brother, Phillip Lassiter. Jo Ellen Cotton

Jo Ellen Cotton, born April 26, 1942, fell into the arms of her Savior on the morning of December 6, 2017. The daughter of Joseph and Ruby McNeely, she was the first of three children. A close-knit family, Jo Ellen deeply cared and had a depth of love for her sisters, Olivia McNeely and Vicky Simpson. Every story and every recollection was related through a heart of love and eternal connectedness. She also had a cousin like a brother, Benjamin McNeely, whose laughter was contagious and whom she anxiously awaited every encounter. Jo Ellen was loved and adored by her husband, Grady, who will profoundly miss her. Grady and Jo Ellen were inseparable, a relationship to be envied in good times and in bad times and in sickness and in health. A relationship of mutual sacrifice and unending love.

He was the son of Gladys Marie Horn Norsworthy and George Curtis Norsworthy. He retired as superintendent of the Natchitoches Utility Power Plant after many years of service.
