Funeral services for Katherine J. Gaddis, 53, of Pleasant Hill, were held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Warren 
Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, Many with the Rev. Dean Johnson and Bro. Jack Middleton officiating. Burial followed in the Spring Ridge Cemetery, Pleasant Hill. James Stanley Tabor

James Stanley Tabor, age 57, passed away peacefully at Grace Home in Shreveport, at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, following a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on March 25, 1956, in Many to Billy James “Buddy” Tabor and Barbara Jean (Smith) Tabor. Stanley grew up in Many, where he attended Many High School. He worked for many years in his family’s business, Tabor’s Farm and Ranch Supply, before moving to  Shreveport where he was an employee of Chevyland for the past several years. Stanley was preceded in death by his beloved brother,  Bruce; his parents, Buddy and Barbara Tabor; his paternal grandparents, William “Bill” and Ruby Tabor; and his maternal grandparents, Tom and Gertie Smith. He is survived by one son, James Stanley Tabor, II, Marthaville;

Funeral services for Geneva Hodge Porter, 77, of Many were held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 beginning at 2 p.m. at Fort Jesup Baptist Church in Many with the Rev. George Treutlein and the Rev. Ray Dyess officiating. Burial followed in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery in Many. Visitation was on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, beginning at 5 p.m. at Warren Meadows

Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana,Texas. Mrs. Porter was a member of the Eastern Star  for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vilous and Lillian Paddie Hodge and her sisters, Marlene Hodge and Baby Hodge. DeWayne Eugene Meshell

Funeral services for DeWayne Eugene Meshell, 62, of Zwolle were held on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Timothy C. Hurd officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery. DeWayne was born on April 13, 1951 in Zwolle. He entered into eternal rest on Jan. 12, 2014 in Shreveport. He was self-employed in the timber industry for many years. He was preceded in death by his father, E.E. Meshell; and son, Chad Michael Meshell. Doris Andries Davenport was born November 5, 1915 and passed away January 4, 2014 at the age of 98. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave, Tuesday January 7, 2014 at 10am  with visitation after 9am. Interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Many, La. at 12 Noon on Wednesday. A native 
of Many, La., Mrs. Davenport resided in Baton Rouge for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late George David Cobbs and Camille Davis Cobbs.
