Johnnie Isgitt

Funeral services for Johnnie Joe Isgitt, 72, of Many were held December 4 at Warren Baptist Church with the Reverends Buddy Freeman and Louis Slaughter officiating. Burial followed in the Warren Cemetery

He was born on Thursday, April 25, 1946 in Beaumont, Texas, and passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Many Health Care North in Many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Martin Isgitt; brother, Fred “Bunkie Isgitt; sister-in-law, Sue Isgitt; and brother-in-law, Andy Jenkins.

He is survived by his children, Tina Renee Isgitt of Marthaville, Leslie Harman Isgitt of Jena, Johnnie Joe Isgitt, Jr. of Seneca, South Carolina, and Lacy Marie Isgitt of Anderson, South Carolina; sister, Helen Isgitt Jenkins of Natchitoches; special niece, Becky Thaxton and husband, Neil, of Florien; cousin, Scott Isgitt and wife, Kathy of Many; companion, Julian Reider of Many; six grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Earl Greer

A funeral service celebrating the life of Earl Wayne Greer, 70, was held December 7 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill with the Rev. Ricky Robertson officiating. Interment followed in Old Pisgah Cemetery.

Mr. Greer was born on April 12, 1948 in Sabine Parish to Wilford Charlie and Della Clodeal Greer and passed away December 5, 2018 in Natchitoches.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wilford Charlie Greer, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Earl Wayne Greer, Jr. and Wesley Rains Greer; sister, Sharon Bacon and husband, Cory; brothers, Jessie Greer and wife, Helen, John Greer and wife, Paula, Ricky Greer, and Kevin Greer and wife, René; and two grandchildren.

Honoring him as pallbearers were Lee Greer, Matthew Greer, Jessie Lee Greer, Gary Friday, Mike Downs, Adam Phelps, and David Greer.

Melissa Ann “Missy” Campbell Rivers

Funeral services for Mrs. Melissa Ann Campbell Rivers, 44, were held on Friday, November 23, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Zwolle. Officiating will be Father Timothy Hurd. Interment followed at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Zwolle.

Missy was born July 7, 1974 in Natchitoches, to Edward Campbell, Jr and JoAnn Moss Campbell and entered rest on November 19, 2018 in Houston, Texas. Missy was a loving wife, daughter, mother and sister.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Delayne Rivers of Noble; her parents, JoAnn Moss Campbell and Edward Campbell, Jr. both of Many; son, Tyler Layne Rivers of Lake Charles; daughters, Emily Ann Guay Larche and husband, Landry of Lake Charles, Marlee Grace Rivers of Noble; sisters, Nancy Murphy and Russell, Mindy Campbell and Jason all of Many; and a host of other friends and family.

Linda Lovelady

Mrs. Linda Lovelady funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Bayou Scie United Methodist Church, Zwolle. Rev. Richard Lehr, Rev. Ray Spiller, and Rev. Kenneth Leach were officiating. Interment followed at Bayou Scie Cemetery, Zwolle.

Linda was born August 3, 1949 in Many, to Charlie and Margaret Cook, and passed away on November 19, in Zwolle. Linda was a former bank teller where she met and helped a lot of customers; these individuals easily became friends of this sweet lady. She was a member of Bayou Scie United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Margaret Cook; her first husband, Gene Lehr, and her son, Jeremy Lehr.

Linda is survived by her husband, John Lovelady; son, Richard Lehr and wife, Melanie; son, Christopher Lehr; sister, Margaret Reed; brother, Gary Reed and wife Janie; brother, Johnny Reed. She also left behind nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Barbara Jane Peterson

Memorial services for Barbara Peterson, 83, of Many, were held on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at First United Methodist Church of Many with Rev. Gloria Youngblood officiating.

Barbara Peterson was born on Friday, August 9, 1935 in Sparkman, Arkansas. She passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Lee Richardson and Pauline (Robey) Richardson.

She is survived by her husband, Garland Peterson of Many; sons: Mike Tompkins of Shreveport, and Mark Tompkins of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren: Steven Tompkins, Christopher Tompkins and Nathan Tompkins; two great grandchildren: Beaux Tompkins and Davis Tompkins; along with a host of friends.

Funeral services for Patsy Hodges Rayburn, 73, of Many, were held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Manning and Bro. Doug Carter officiating. Burial followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery.

Patsy Rayburn was born on Wednesday, November 29, 1944 in Rocky Hill, Texas. She loved to praise the Lord, singing old gospel songs, read the Bible, sew beautiful quilts, and cook amazing bakery goods. She left this earthly home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus face to face on Monday, November 26, 2018 at her home in Many. Patsy will be remembered by many as a loving Christian mother, sister, Nanie, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry G. Rayburn; parents, Virgil and Estelle (Thomas) Hodges; brothers, Gary Michael Hodges and Virgil Duane Hodges.

Funeral services honoring the life of Jeffery Troy Gaddis, 48, were held November 19 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Pleasant Hill with Charlotte Birdwell officiating. Burial followed at Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.

Jeffery was born September 1, 1970 in Houston, Texas to James L. Gaddis and Sheila J. Terrell and entered into rest on November 16, 2018, in Pleasant Hill.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Douglas W. Johnson and Thyra Johnson and Thomas Wister Terrell and L.V. Bell Terrell; uncle, Johnny D. Terrell; and aunt, Betty G. Terrell.

He was born Sunday, August 27, 1939 in Sabine Parish, and passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 in Alexandria.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Ebarb; parents, Elie Ebarb, Sr. and Mattie Margrete “Sepulvado” Ebarb; son, Christopher Wade Ebarb; and brother, Gilbert Ebarb.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Ebarb and Paula Steelman of Noble; sons, Randy Ebarb of Zwolle, and David Ebarb of Zwolle; sisters, Helen Sepulvado of Zwolle, Faye Lee of Zwolle, Eloise Mora of Zwolle, and Margie Smith of Zwolle; brothers, Frankie Ebarb of Zwolle, and Wayne Ebarb of Zwolle; granddaughter, Theresa LeAnn Ebarb of Noble; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Robert Gabriel

Memorial services for Robert L. Gabriel were held November 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle with Father Richard Norsworthy officiating.

Robert passed away November 1, 2018 at 11:40 p.m. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas.

He loved the outdoors, fishing and working outdoors. He loved our two beloved fur babies, Shyular, Ming Su and Jade Riley. He’s leaving behind great friends at Munday Dealership and great friends at the Houston Harris County Sheriff Dept. Robert retired as a detective. He had a lot of compassion and love for this family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip James Gabriel and Magdalene Mary Martin Gabriel; infant son, Jon Cory Gabriel; brother, Philip James Gabriel Jr.; and sister, Kathryn Ann Gabriel Briers.

Melvin “Doc” Veuleman

On Monday November 19th 2018, Melvin Truitt Veuleman passed away peacefully at his home in Marthaville.

He was born on April 9, 1927 in Marthaville. He served his country in the Navy during WWII in a tour in the South Pacific, he came home and drove a gas truck for Valley Farmers Co-op for 44 years until he retired in 1991. He then spent his retirement working his garden, raising livestock, and spending time with his grandchildren. Doc served as a deacon at Anthony Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his spouse of 46 years, Charlene Crump Veuleman, and his second wife of 23 years, Mary Lou Veuleman; his parents, Joseph Edward Veuleman and Mary Lee Campbell Veuleman; and his brothers, Tullos “Tubb” Veuleman and Aubrey “Hook” Veuleman.
