Funeral services for Galen Bruce Smith, 60, of Leesville, were held on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, beginning at 3 p.m. at
Cenchrea Nazarene Church in Florien, with the Rev. Dan West officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Florien. Visitation was at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Cenchrea Nazarene Church in Florien. Galen Bruce Smith was born on Thursday, March 5, 1953, in Many. He passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at his residence in Leesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Earle Smith. He is survived by his brothers, Elton Roy Smith, Jr. of Florien; Gary Smith of Shreveport and Lane Smith of Santa Fe, Tenn.; sisters, Brenda Leo of Florien and Marla Ellzey of Raleigh, N.C.; children, Gayla Veuleman and husband, Stacy, of Many; Jessie Isgitt and husband, William, of Anacoco and Weston Smith, also of Anacoco; grandchildren, Macy Veuleman, Ty Veuleman, Trace Isgitt, William Isgitt and Leah Isgitt; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
