Eugene Alton Coffey

Funeral services for Eugene Coffey, 78, of Converse were held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Midway Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Price officiating. Burial followed in the Shiloh Cemetery.

Eugene Coffey was born on Monday, September 6, 1943 in Welch, West Virginia. He passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Toledo Nursing Center in Zwolle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Preston Coffey and Lyda L. Coffey; wife, Virginia Ann Leggett Coffey; and his brother, Jeffery P. Coffey.

He is survived by his daughter, Robin Coffey Whittington and husband Jerry of Converse; son, Daniel A. Coffey and wife Melissa of Lakeland, Florida; sister, Sharon Dycus and husband Tom of Seattle, Washington; brothers, Paul Coffey and wife Sherri of Pensacola, Florida; and Roger Coffey of Westminster, Ohio; grandchildren, Wesley Sepulvado and wife Shelly of Converse; Bobby Whittington and wife Callie of Marthaville; Karla Fox and husband Kenton of Bixby, Oklahoma; and Zachary Dowden of Leesville; along with numerous other friends and family.

Pallbearers were Wesley Sepulvado, Kaleb Lites, Dale Morgan, Kenton Fox, Eli Sepulvado and Bobby Whittington.

Honorary Pallbearers were Jerry Whittington and Paul Coffey.
