Funeral services for Rose King Downs, 82, of Florien, LA, will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wilton Anthony, Rev. J. P. Handy and Rev. Douglas Downs officiating. Burial will follow in the Florien Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many, LA.

Rose King Downs was born on Saturday, May 4, 1940 in Many, LA. She passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at her residence in Florien, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd Ray King and Maggie (McDiarmid) King; husband, Clifton “Peanut” Downs; and her brother, Loyd R. King, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Dennis Downs and wife Ellen of Florien, LA; daughter, Denise Fletcher and husband DeVon of Hornbeck, LA; son, Donnie Downs of Florien, LA; grandchildren: Daniel Downs (Jacqualyn), Deana Shelly (Ross), Douglas Downs (Brittany), Danee’ Cook (Bradley), Dustin Fletcher (Taylor), Devin Dempsey (Kyle), D. J. Downs, Raymond Thall, Destiny Schulte, Deedra Downs, Deonna Downs and Darien Downs; great grandchildren: Cora Downs, Caylee Downs, Demi Downs, Dylan Downs, Sawyer Fitch, Saylor Fitch, Daylyn Shelly, Rylie Shelly, Drew Downs, Baylor Downs, Camryn Cook, Carlyn Cook, Kyliegh Dempsey, Harper Dempsey, Wyatt Dempsey, Charleigh Fletcher and Ollie Rose Schulte; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers: Daniel Downs, Douglas Downs, Ross Shelly, Dustin Fletcher, Kyle Dempsey, Bradley Cook, Bruce Nelms and Thane Sandel.
