Funeral services for Charles Edward Pugh, 71, of Florien, LA, will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (Toro, LA) with Bro. Buddy Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery (Toro, LA). Visitation will begin on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (Toro, LA).
Charles Edward Pugh was born on Monday, April 25, 1955 in Eglin AFB, FL. He passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Sabine Retirement & Rehabilitation Center in Many, LA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dotty Pugh; father, Charlie D. Pugh; brother David Wayne Pugh; sister, Janet Meshell; brother-in-law, Curtis “Doc” Rodrigues; nephew, CoDan “Cody” Meshell; and great-niece, Faithlynn Meshell.
He is survived by his mother, Marlene Pugh of Florien, LA; sister, Etta Rodrigues of Florien, LA; nieces, Jessica Watson and family of Converse, LA, Crystal Meshell and family of Florien, LA, Melissa Meshell of Bossier City, LA, and Lori Rodigues of Haughton, LA; nephew, Cleve Rodrigues and family of Bossier City, LA.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Shaun Meshell, Isaiah Meshell, Detrez Thomas, Jr., John Watson, Howard “Chubby” Meshell, and Joshua Krey.
