Funeral services for Frank Litton, 70, of Zwolle were held March 25 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Zwolle with the Rev. Jimmy Glover officiating. Burial followed in the Mitchell Cemetery. He was born on Wednesday, May 22, 1946 in Converse and passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his parents, Travis Franklin Litton, Sr. and Nina Litton, and his grandparents. He is survived by his sister, Nina Ott of New Llano, and Mary Harrigan of Provencal; brother, Jimmy Litton; niece, Andrea Penrod of Provencal; along with a host of aunts, uncles, and friends. Funeral services for Beechel Beatrice Herrington, 89, of Florien were held March 25 at Middle Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. John Lewing officiating. Burial followed in the Middle Creek Cemetery. She was born on Friday, December 16, 1927 in Sabine Parish and passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Sabine Retirement & Rehabilitation Center in Many. Bob Watson Sr.

Funeral services honoring the life of Robert “Bob” Watson Sr. were held March 18 at Rose- Neath Chapel in Many with the Rev. Danny Asbell officiating. Burial followed at Aimwell Baptist Church in Zwolle. He was born October 16, 1937 in Baton Rouge to Milton Leon Watson and Rosa Lena Martin Watson. He passed away on March 12, 2017 in Mansfield while in the DeSoto Retirement Center at the age of 79. Preceding him in death were his mother and father and his grandson, Jason Watson. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Carmen Yanez Watson; sons, Robert Watson Jr. and wife, Diedra, Melton Watson and wife, Janie, and Matthew Watson and wife, Rachel; daughter, Rita Henderson and husband, John; grandchildren, Charles Watson, Tabitha Henderson, Nicholas Watson, Aaron Henderson, Hunter Adkins, Faith Watson, Silas Watson and Shiloh Watson; brother, Benny Fate Watson; and sisters, Lula Watson Booth and Janice Watson Duffy.

Funeral Services for Kerry David Anderson, 57, of Natchitoches, were held March 21 at Fountain of Life Pentecostal Church in Natchitoches with the Reverends James Whitehead and Mark Whitehead officiating. Burial followed in the Aimwell Cemetery in Zwolle. He was born on Thursday, August 13, 1959 in Shreveport. He passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Jack and Marguerite Brown and paternal grandparents, William and Linda Anderson. Cookie Rougeau

Charles Leslie “Cookie” Rougeau, 75, of Many, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church with Father Mike Thang’wa officiating. Burial will follow in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday, March 17, 2017, at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many, LA. Cookie was born September 18, 1941, to Leslie and Opal Rougeau. He grew up in Many and Ft. Jessup, attending school at St. John’s parochial school and Many High School where he graduated in 1959. He lettered in football and baseball. He attended Northwestern State University, was a member of ROTC and the University Drill Team, marching in the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in Washington, D.C. in 1961. The Team placed 2nd nationally. While working in the oil industry, Cookie was drafted and served in the Army, being recognized as the outstanding trainee of the regiment at Ft. Polk.

Janice Garcie

Janice L. Carlson Garcie, 69, of Zwolle passed away on March 10, 2017 at 5:20 p.m. at Sabine Medical Center in Many. She was born November 27, 1947 in Peoria, Illinois to Arthur G. and Barbara Scholl J. Carlson. She was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Arthur “Butch” Carlson. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Sparks of Zwolle; son, Brian Dunbar of Chillicothe, Illinois; daughter, Tammara Howell of Nokomis, Illinois; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and sister, Ann Brown of Peoria, Illinois. Cremation has been accorded. There will be no visitation. Burial of Ashes will be in the Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery in Zwolle at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Humane Society.

Burial followed in the St. Ann Catholic Cemetery in Ebarb. She was born on Monday, January 29, 1940 in Sabine Parish. She passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Sabine Medical Center in Many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Meshell and Julie Sepulvado Meshell; husband, Virgil Joseph Ebarb; son, Ricky Ebarb; sisters, Rena Rutherford and Catherine Procell; and brothers, Elden Meshell, T.J. Meshell and Herman Meshell.
