Services for Bethel Alice Hippler, 90, of East Mountain, Texas were held at the Spring Hill Assembly of God on March 28 with the Reverends Ronnie Shipman, Carl London and Bob Thompson officiating. The interment followed at Pendleton Cemetery Sabine Parish. Mrs. Hippler stepped into her Savior’s arms on Thursday, March 26, 2015. Services were under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.Bethel was born to Owen Johnson and Amanda Bass Johnson in Many on March 8, 1925. She devoted her life to serving the Lord, her fam-ily and those in need. She was known as a master gardener who shared produce and flowers with everyone. She was a homemaker, professional seamstress, wonderful cook and a member of the Spring Hill Assembly of God Church. She was married to Don Hippler and they were residents of the East Mountain community near Longview, Texas. Mrs.

Funeral Services for Cas-sell Dayton Lehr, 39, of Zwolle, were held on March 26, at Bayou Scie Methodist Church in Zwolle, with the Reverends Nathaniel Langford and Chris Loupe of-ficiating. Burial followed in the Bayou Scie Cemetery in Zwolle.Cassell Dayton Lehr was born on Monday, Nov. 10, 1975 in Shreveport. He passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Sabine Medical Center in Many.Cassell was known as a good ole country boy by everyone who knew him. He never met a stranger, had friends everywhere he went and touched so many lives. His generosity was not eas-ily forgotten. Cassell never hesi-tated to lend a hand to help those in need. Like he always said “ I ain’t real busy.”He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S.D.

Goldie Laverne Newton

Goldie Laverne Newton Parson was born Aug. 25, 1927 to Samuel Newton, Sr. and Alma Brewster in Many. Her siblings are Vernell, Samuel, Donald and Evelyn. Their mother passed away when was three years old and they were raised by their grandmother, Nettie Newton and father Samuel Newton. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church and was an active mem-ber and Deaconess until her untimely death. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 48 in Many. Goldie received her educa-tion at Sabine High School and was a proud graduate of Sabine Blue Waves Class of 1945. On Nov. 7, 1944, she and James L. “Bootsie” Parson mar-ried, and to this union 12 chil-dren were born. She also had a motherly bond with all children she came in contact with, known as “Madea” to many, and the lady that sits on the porch and waves to everybody with a smile. Goldie answered the call on March 8, 2015 in Natchitoches.

Carmel Cemetery, Florien.Kelby Dodge Pilcher was born on Wednesday, July 15, 1998 in Natchitoches. He passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 in Flo-rien.He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lynn Horn Ox-ley.He is survived by his parents, Wade and Meredith Dees Pilcher of Florien; brother, Talan Pilcher of Florien; paternal grandfather, Jimmie Pilcher and wife, Mary of Cotter, Ark.; maternal grand-parents, Roland and Patricia Manasco Dees of Many; aunts and uncles, Saben and Amanda Law-rence, Aunt Kims, Misty Howard and Milton and Stephanie Millik-en; cousins, Bryan Carroll, Joshua Carroll, Carrick Pilcher, Reece Lawrence, Boston Pilcher, Brax-ton Pilcher and Alexis Lynn John-son along with a host of friends.Pallbearers were Bryan Car-roll, Stephen Wysatta, Truman Dees, Bro.

Burial followed in the Beulah Cemetery in Many.Fay Ann Rogers was born on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1940 in New Orleans.
