Funeral Services for Roselyn Culbertson, 66, of Many, were held on February 13 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Glover officiating. Burial followed in the Siloam Cemetery. Roselyn Culbertson was born on Thursday, March 23, 1950 in Bogalusa. She passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at her home in Many. She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Levi Sumrall; sisters, Rebecca Sumrall Verret and Sylvia Ann Fortenberry; and father of her children, Victor Culbertson She is survived by her sons, Troy Culbertson of Many, Ben Culbertson of Many and Nick Culbertson of Many; mother, Susan Sumrall Bush of Bogalusa; John Dennis Sumrall of Bogalusa; grandchildren, Alec, Christian, Cheyenne and McKenna along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Services for J. K. Hopkins, 86, of Florien, were held February 4 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wilton Anthony officiating. Burial followed in the Antioch Cemetery in Florien. Hopkins was born on Thursday, September 4, 1930 in Florien. He passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Sabine Retirement & Rehabilitation Center in Many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Exie Arrington Hopkins; wife, Pearl Buras Hopkins; sisters, Annie Mae Corley, Ava Del Knippers, Willie Horn and Myrtle Moore; and brothers, Teddy Hopkins and Hardy Hopkins. He is survived by his wife, Marvilene Hopkins of Keatchie; daughter, Marianne Hopkins of Florien; granddaughters, Rebecca Gray of Lake Charles and Jenna Gray of Monroe; grandson, Jeremiah Henson of Florien; sister, Jackye Pruitt and husband, Titus, of Zwolle; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services honoring the life of Teddy Louis Byrd, 76, were held February 4 at Clearwater Cemetery in Florien with Brother Clinton Alford officiating. Teddy was born on December 10, 1940 in Columbus to Mattie Louise Walker and Jesse Lee Byrd and passed away on February 1, 2017. Preceding him in death were his parents, Mattie Louise Walker and Jesse Lee Byrd; sisters, Marth Cox and Myrna Byrd; and brother, Wimpy Byrd. Funeral Services for David K. Ellzey, 63, of Zwolle were held February 7 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry W Penfield officiating. Burial followed in the Central Cemetery. Ellzey was born on Sunday, October 11, 1953 in Natchitoches Parish. He passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 in Robeline. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orvis “O.W.” Ellzey and Dorris Royston Ellzey. David was a long-time employee in the Information Technology Dept. of Georgia Pacific Paper Co. in Crossett, Arkansas. His favorite passtimes were fishing regardless of the weather, bowling, and spending time at his camp in the river bottoms of SE Arkansas. After retiring he moved back to his childhood home in Robeline. He loved the outdoors and spent lots of time gardening, deer hunting and growing pine trees. Once moving to Zwolle, fishing once again became his primary recreation. Everywhere he went he was usually accompanied by his faithful squirrel dog, PJ.

Funeral services for Floyd Glen Tarpley, 75 of Many were held January 16 at Rose-Neath Many Chapel in Many. Floyd was born on October 9, 1941 in Many. He entered into eternal rest on Thursday January 12, 2017 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Tarpley and Delma Alford Tarpley;sisters, Dorothy Landry and Willa Mae Leone; and brothers, Wayne Tarpley, HowardTarpley, Clyde Tarpley and Bobby Tarpley. He is survived by his wife, Virgie Tarpley; sons, James Tarpley, Phillip Tarpley and wife, Terri; daughter Carol Annison and husband, Eddie; sisters, Rose Lynn Leroy, Marguerite Lovelady; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren Rose-Neath Funeral Home-Many.

Funeral Services for Pauline Stringer, 91, of Florien, were held on January 17 at First Baptist Church of Florien with the Reverends Kenneth Leach, Sr. and Jeff Hutchins officiating. Burial followed in the Florien Cemetery. Pauline was born on Friday, February 13, 1925 in Sabine Parish. She passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Sabine Medical Center in Many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Epsie Mothershed Arthur; husband, Rudolph Stringer; daughters, Helen Craft and Shirley Barnhill; five brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by her son, James Stringer and wife, Cristina, of Florien; daughter, Patricia A.

Funeral services for Duane Lee Calhoun, 79, of Florien, were held January 20 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rickey Robertson officiating. Burial followed in the Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville. Duane was born on Wednesday, April 28, 1937 in Coneville, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services for James R. Livingston, 80, of Many, were held on January 21 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Mike Thang’wa officiating. Burial followed in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. James was born on Wednesday, January 22, 1936 in Sabine Parish. He passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Grace Home in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Livingston and Bertha Rivers Livingston; son, Jackie Livingston; and daughter, Shanna Lea.

Funeral services for Rose Lee Ebarb, 87, of Noble, were held January 23 at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father Richard Norsworthy officiating. Burial followed in the St. Ann Catholic Cemetery in Ebarb. Rose was born on Monday, April 8, 1929 in Sabine Parish. She passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 in Keithville. She was preceded in death by her husband, T. J. Ebarb; parents, Ernest and Mary Procell; grandson, Chad Ebarb; great grandchildren, Dillon Dean Ebarb and Camron Danielle Ebarb; and great-great grandchildren, Jaycie Eva Sepulvado and Emmaleigh Hilburn.

Sandra Kay Derr passed away on January 9, 2017. She was born in Vivian on June 12, 1949 to Vernon Moore and Hazel Dyer Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Derr, Sr.; father, Vernon Moore Sr.; and mother, Hazel Dyer Moore. She is survived by her son, Charles Derr, and wife, Linda, of Many; daughter, Sherry Morvan, and husband, Matt, of Florien; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
