Project Celebration holds first annual “Tee Off” tournament

By Daniel Jones

October 15 was a big day for Project Celebration, as their first annual “Tee Off” golf tournament hit the course at Cypress Bend Golf Resort. The tournament is in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and raises funds for the Taylor House Domestic Violence Shelter, which is in dire need of a new roof. The tournament itself is a three-man scramble format, which emphasizes fun instead of strict scorekeeping. Each player hits a tee shot on every hole, but everyone plays from the spot of the best shot. Named winners of the tournament was the team of John Migliore, Walker Alford, and Kyle Hatch.
