Funeral services for Virginia Ann Savell DuBose, 78, of Florien, LA, will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Union Baptist Church with Bro. Rusty Silvertooth and Bro. Brad Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 5:00 PM at Union Baptist Church, Florien, LA.
Virginia Ann Savell DuBose was born on Sunday, January 27, 1946 in Many, LA. She passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at her residence in Florien, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben DuBose and her parents, Loyd Wesley Savell and Emma Marie (Sandel) Savell.
She is survived by her son, Gary DuBose and wife Rhonda of Florien, LA.; daughter, Kim DuBose James and husband Robert of Anacoco, LA.; daughter, Ginger DuBose Sepulvado and husband Anthony “Snag” of Florien, LA.; grandchildren, Sarah James Nelson and husband Tim of New Llano, LA., Linsey DuBose of Florien, LA., Justin James of Lake Charles, LA., Emma DuBose Rogers and Lilly’s dad Josh Rogers of Florien, LA., Sabrina James Ross and husband Bo of Robert, LA., Jordan James and wife Jenny of Starks, LA., Jacob Sepulvado of Florien, LA., and Colton Sepulvado of Florien, LA.; great grandchildren, Brady James, Lilly Rogers, Oliver James and Zoey Ross; sisters, Louise Eddington of Many, LA., Margaret Witt of Florien, LA. and Marie Calhoun of Natchitoches, LA.; brother, Freeman Savell and wife Christy of Stonewall, LA.; special friend and caregiver, Ida Bynum; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Justin James, Jordan James, Jacob Sepulvado, Bo Ross, Josh Rogers, Tim Nelson and Colton Sepulvado.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sarah James Nelson, Linsey DuBose, Emma DuBose Rogers and Sabrina James Ross.
