National Police Week observed

Sending a reminder to all REGISTERED youth fishermen fishing will begin early Saturday morning, June 1st on the banks of Cypress Bend Park at the 15th annual Toledo Bend Lake Association/Sabine Soil and Water Conservation District Fish Fest. Fishing begins at 7:30 a.m. Weigh in time will be no later than 11:00 a.m. The event was opened to youth fishermen who attended kindergarten through twelfth grade in 2023/2024 in Louisiana and Texas. REGISTRATION HAS ENDED and all eligible fishermen have been contacted.

Prizes and medals will be awarded in six categories. Entrance fees to Cypress Bend will be waived for registered fishermen. You must fish the shores of Cypress Bend Park. Each angler must provide their own fishing equipment and bait. The Fest will end with presentation of awards and door prizes. We have two GRAND PRIZES this year. A 4-hour guided crappie trip donated by Holly Garcie for Porter Guide Service. Living the Dream Guide Service, donated a half-day crappie trip for four. These will be the last prizes for the day. Every registered fisherman still present will be eligible to win one of the Grand prizes.

Remember to bring your lawn chairs so you can relax during weighin. Parents and other family members are invited to share in the fishing fun. A hot dog lunch and cold drinks will be provided to all fishermen thanks to our sponsors.
