Lurline’s life was based around her family. Lurline married the love of her life Paul Dean McPherson in 1956. Together they built a very beautiful life and had 3 children. The two showed everyone what true love was, and they were both the backbone of their family. Lurline enjoyed spending time with the love of her life Paul Dean, and followed him to all his jobs. If you seen Paul Dean, Lurline wasn’t far behind. Lurline never let Paul Dean’s memory die and talked about him daily. They were truly soulmates, now reunited. Lurline loved each and everyone in her family so much, and she made sure you knew that. She took pride in taking care of her family.

She also had a very large host of friends she leaves behind. It seemed like everyone she met, was a friend. She enjoyed calling her friends and talking to them on the phone. She always wanted to know how everyone was doing. Her favorite tv show was the “Golden Girls”, and in a way she reminded us of them. A true friend who anyone could call on at any time. She was there for everyone.

Lurline was also a very faithful servant of The Lord. She enjoyed going to church, and if she couldn’t make it to church, she was listening to her gospel music, or Conway Twitty, he was her favorite. She always encouraged everyone to get to know the Lord, or go to church with her. She had very strong faith that was very inspiring to her loved ones. Another thing she enjoyed was going to church homecomings, catching up with everyone and seeing everyone gathered there for the Lord. Lurline also had a love for cooking and could make the best chocolate pies and chicken spaghetti you ever tasted, some might even recall enjoying some of her cooking at her cafe “Nanny’s” in Robeline, LA. She also leaves behind her faithful companion Ringo and is now reunited with her other fur baby Peanut, whom she both loved and spoiled like her own family. They even got their own cups of coffee and scrambled eggs for breakfast each morning.

She had a big heart, infectious smile, and could make you laugh about anything, anytime. We are all so blessed to have been able to call her a friend or family. She will be missed greatly, but never forgotten as she has left such an amazing legacy behind.

Pallbearers will be: Eric McPherson, Brandon Isgitt, Trent Soileau, Joshua Rivers, Trenton Sepulvado, and Tyler Rawls.
