Funeral services for Wanda Lucille Remedies, 64, of Zwolle, LA, will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel of Many with burial to follow at the Saint Joseph Cemetery in Zwolle. The viewing will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

Wanda Lucille Remedies was born on Thursday, May 8, 1958 in Zwolle, LA. She passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 in Alexandria, LA.

Wanda retired from Sabine Parish School Board after 20 years of serving as a cafeteria worker and custodian. She enjoyed spending time with family and never missed a chocolate cake on a birthday. She had a servant’s heart and always took pride in her family. She always welcomed those around her in her home with a warm meal and made sure nobody went without. She was very hard working and strong. Her children and grandchildren filled such a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mary Lorene Remedies; brother, James Wilburn Remedies; brother, Jack Remedies, Jr.; sister, Nora Jean Sepulvado; sister, Mira Renee Sepulvado; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Calvin Cook; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Ann and Jerry King; sister, Margaret Sepulvado.

She is survived by her special friend of 31 years, Joseph (Tim) Meshell of Zwolle, LA; two sons Fernando Meshell of Zwolle, LA; Jerry Lynn (J.L.) Sepulvado Jr. and wife Katlyn of Lake Charles, LA; daughter Jerrica Benecke and husband Jack of Many, LA; granddaughters, Destiny Olvera and husband Nathen of Natchitoches, LA; Brianna Benecke of Many, LA; Brooklyn Benecke of Many, LA; sister, Joanne Collins of Zwolle, La ; sister, Laronda Seymore and husband Cecil of Haleyville, AL; sister-in-law, Carol Remedies of Many, LA; sister-in-law Sallie Remedies of Many, LA; special family friend, Teresa Davis along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Fernando Meshell, Jerry (J.L.) Lynn Sepulvado Jr., Jack Benecke, Cecil Seymore, Nathen Olvera, Dawson Prudhome.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Joseph (Tim) Meshell, Dakota Prudhome.
