Funeral services for Daniel “Danny” Lee Cook, 73, of Florien, LA, will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow in the Florien Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many, LA.

Danny Cook was born on Saturday, January 7, 1950 in Shreveport, LA. He passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 in Florien, LA surrounded by many of his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy L. Cook and Opal (Westfall) Cook; son, Bronson Cook and his brothers, Roy Cook, Jr. and Harold Glenn Cook.

He is survived by his daughter, Mellonda Bounds Wise and husband Levi of Florien, LA; grandson, Brandon Lee Bounds; grandson, Tristen Wayne Bounds (Natalee) great granddaughter, Parker Alaine; grandson, DaKota Lynn Bounds (Hannah) great grandchildren, Violet Gale and Oakley Lane; daughter, Stacy Lynn Strahan and husband Phillip of Marthaville, LA; grandchildren, Aubrey James Allen, Landry Ann Strahan and Dani Lynn Strahan; sisters, Carolyn Caldas of Center, TX and Sharon Calhoun of Florien, LA; brothers, James Cook of Many, LA, Ralph Cook (Cheryl) of Florien, LA, David Cook of Florien, LA and Joe Don Cook (Kathy) of Many, LA: along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Brandon Bounds, DaKota Bounds, Tristen Bounds, Steven Bounds, Phillip Strahan, Aubrey Allen, Levi Wise and Nathanael Wise.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Oakley Bounds, Mason Cannon, Steve “Soldier Boy” Kent, Ricky Arthur, Clarence Beebe, Doug Beebe, Roger Thibodeaux, Rodney Jordan, Dr. Okonkwo and Steven Beasley.

The family would like to thank Vernon Home Health and Vernon Hospice, also his special caretakers: Tron Williams, Jerrica “Jerrico Williams, Natlie Williams, Orangie Garrett, Rachel Collier and Shollanda Medlock.
