Minnie Mae Campbell was born on Tuesday, September 27, 1927 in Noble, LA. She passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 at her residence in Noble, LA.

Better know as “Sissy” to everyone she encountered. She was a 1948 graduate of Noble High School. Serving as captain of the Noble Mustangs, she led her team to win the girls state Championship in basketball that same year. She married Doyle on December 10, 1950 and raised four children to value the importance of hard work, family and a relationship with Jesus Christ. As a devoted member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Noble, she was avid housekeeper, Eucharistic Minister, clergy and served the sick in her community when needed. She received the Diocesan Medal for Service.

Minnie, alongside her husband, served for years as a faithful member for years in the local Lion’s Club, DAV, and VFW organizations. She was named a Lifetime Honorary member of VFW Post 5187-Zwolle Ebarb Auxiliary. Of all the accomplishments in life, her favorite was her family, friends and faith. To know her was to love her…” Sissy hugs” were infectious with everyone being drawn to her. A kindred spirit that made you feel so loved now sits with our Savior. What a legacy she leaves behind in the hearts of all she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Josephine Procell; husband, Robert Doyle Campbell; three sisters; two brothers; and grandson, David Dewayne Campbell.

She is survived by her children, Charles Ray Campbell and wife, Cathy of Noble, LA, Paul Campbell and wife, Claudine of Noble, LA, Claire Campbell Lopez and husband, Joseph (Bucki) of Noble, LA, and Pat Campbell and wife, Colette, of Ebarb, LA; brother, Melvin Steve Procell of Noble, LA; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
