Brice Ellzey was born on Friday, April 6, 1945 in Hornbeck, LA. He passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 in Many, LA.

From the little community of Plainview, he traveled following construction jobs for Brown and Root and other contractors, when he returned back to Sabine Parish, he formed his own construction business. He built many homes in and around the parish. His carpenter skills were well known. Throughout his life story he loved his wife and children, his grandchildren who made him laugh, the children that visited in their home, his nephews and nieces and many friends. He loved playing dominoes – moon was his game, he learned from his Daddy and brothers at an early age to play. The Ellzey’s were known to have a table set up all the time. He loved it so much the office of his shop was called the “Domino Parlor” and he and his brothers, nephews and others would share coffee, conversation, and many jokes as they shuffled. It was all for bragging rights till the next game. Perhaps there is a domino game going on right now.
