Funeral services for Bessie Cecilia Mowad, 98, of Many, LA, will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church with Father Francis Kamau officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John The Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many, LA.

Bessie Cecilia Mowad was born on Friday, June 6, 1924 in Many, LA. She passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 in Many, LA.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John E. “Shine” Mowad, Sr.; parents, Lee and Mary Grappe; granddaughter, Kristian Self; and her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, John Edwin “Johnny” Mowad, Jr. of Many, LA; grandchildren, Michael Mowad and wife Kerrie of Many, LA and Mary Mowad Murphy and husband Randy of Many, LA; great grandchildren: Bailey Gribbin of Many, LA, Emily Pratt of Converse, LA, Layne Fredieu of Many, LA and Erin Mowad of Many, LA; great-great grandchildren, Hayes Gribbin and Murphy Gribbin; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers: James Pearson, Timmy Pearson, Freddie Grappe, Randy Murphy, Monte Davis and Kip DeLatin.
