Funeral services for Richard Austin Wright, 86, of Florien, LA, will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Chance officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel.

Richard Austin Wright was born on Wednesday, April 15, 1936 in Florien, LA. He passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 in Florien, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Ruby (Miller) Wright; wife of 62 years, Delories Wright; brother, Harold Wright; sister, Rita Wright Crittenden; and nephew, Bruce Salter.

He is survived by his son, Wendell Wright and wife Alicia of Many, LA; daughter, Susie Wright and Darrell Sepulvado of Florien, LA; grandchildren: Derek Anthony and wife Lauren of Many, LA, Kresha Matkin and husband Brad of Robeline, LA, Taryn Brooks and husband Derrick of Florien, LA, Stormie Pilcher and husband Brody of Florien, LA, Stephanie Speight and husband Nathan of Florien, LA and Taylor Wright of Florien, LA; brother, Jerry Wright and wife Nancy of Phoenix, AZ; sister-inlaw, Joy Wright of Dallas, TX; along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers: Derek Anthony, Brody Pilcher, Brad Matkin, Derrick Brooks, Nathan Speight and Todd Fredieu.
