Funeral services for Travis Strahan, 64, of Zwolle, LA, will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Keith Garvin officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Zwolle, LA.

Travis Strahan was born on Tuesday, September 23, 1958, in Wilmington, DE. He passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, in Shreveport, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brady Franklin Strahan, Jr. and Faye (Lewing) Strahan; brother, Tidley Weldon and his grandparents, Brady Strahan, Sr. and Molly Strahan.

He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Henderson-Strahan of Zwolle, LA; children: Kyle Strahan of Zwolle, LA; Chasten Garcia and husband Zach of The Woodlands, TX; Ashton Turner of Houston, TX; Brady Tyler Strahan of Willis, TX; Dr. Cody Bruce and fiancé David of Austin, TX; Dexter Sepulvado and wife Ashley of Zwolle, LA; sister, Vietta Henrickson and husband Bruce of Belmont, LA; brother, Todd Strahan and wife Jolean of Zwolle, LA; mother- in-law, Martha Henderson of Zwolle, LA; and six grandchildren. Nieces and nephews: Bryce Hendrickson, Alex Strahan, Justin Hinds, Paige Hinds, Joshua Mitchell, Ashley Parrie, Alex Johnson, T.J. Geoghagan Jr., Ethan Geoghagan, and Jessie Geoghagan.

Growing up, Travis helped on the family chicken farm. These years of labor instilled in him an impeccable work ethic. Travis loved to go to the cattle auctions at the livestock barns in Mansfield and Armistead. He especially looked forward to attending the weekend rodeos at the Marthaville and Evelyn arenas. Travis loved the outdoors. Travis was an active member of the Pleasant Hill Chapter of the Future Farmers of America. He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School with the Class of 1976.

Travis worked for Nabors Drilling for 43 years in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Although work kept him physically far from his family, he cherished every moment with them when he was home. He especially loved being a Pawpaw to grandsons Camdyn Wheless and Draeton Sepulvado. Travis enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking, and helping family and friends in his leisure time. He was extraordinarily generous in life, and at his passing. His final gift was possible with the LOPA Foundation through organ, tissue, and eye donation.
