Funeral services for Josephine Martinez, 93, of Zwolle, LA, will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Keith Garvin officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Zwolle, LA.

Josephine Martinez was born on Saturday, February 16, 1929, in Zwolle, LA. She passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in Zwolle, LA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. V. Martinez; parents, Steve Remedies, Sr. and Maggie Procell Remedies; sisters, Fannie Parrie and Louise Parrie; brothers, Henry Remedies, Louis Remedies, Sr., Frank Remedies, and Steve Remedies, Jr.; sons, Lynn Martinez and Tim Martinez and her grandchildren, Justin LaRoux, Tammy Martinez, and Malenia Martinez.

She is survived by her sons, Lester Martinez and wife Linnie of Keithville, LA, Van Martinez and wife Connie of Zwolle, LA; daughter-in-law, Mary Martinez of Zwolle, LA; daughters, Patsy Martinez of Zwolle, LA, Luci Jo Parrie and husband, Dean of Zwolle, LA; host of grandchildren: Melody, Chris, Misty, Amanda, Lamar, Bridget, Shane, J. V., Crystal, Chad, Elizabeth, Waylon, Lathan, Heather, Hilary and Hallie; a host of great grandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren, God children, nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers: Steven Lynn Parrie, Jerry Allen Parrie, Kevin Earl Parrie, Stephine (Pebbles) Sepulvado, Anthony Parrie and James Parrie.
