Robert Arthur of Many, Louisiana, died peacefully in his home on August 24, 2022, at the age of 77. He was surrounded by his friends and family. A lifelong resident of Sabine Parish, Mr. Arthur loved to fish and hunt, and above all, enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his wife, Jan Founds Arthur; and 10 children who adored him, including Jessica Arthur Worley and husband Jon of Fort Worth, TX, Chad Gandy and wife Candace, of Murfreesboro, TN, Patience Arthur of Dallas, TX, Tory Gandy and wife Julie Periloux Gandy of Many, LA, Erin Gandy Brown and husband Gary of Harrah, OK, Mary Lyssa Gandy of Shreveport, LA, Jacob Arthur and wife Katy of Many, LA, Heidi Arthur Bowling and husband Cory of Many, LA, Sarie Arthur Sepulvado and husband Justin of Mount Carmel, LA, Janney Arthur Mitchell and husband Trey of Many, LA, and 27 adoring grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers: Charles Gale Arthur and wife Bonita of Florien, LA, Gil Arthur and wife Kathy of Ruston, LA, and Phil Arthur and wife Adele of West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Arthur was born on September 5, 1944 to Archie Columbus Arthur and Iva Lea Arthur of Florien, LA. Robert was a graduate of Florien High School and Northwestern State University, he spent many of his years teaching special education in Many, LA. Robert also spent time in the Army National Guard after graduation from college.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Word of Truth Church with Rev. Gil Arthur and Rev. Frank Ebarb officiating. Burial will follow in the Many Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 5:30 PM at Word of Truth Church, Many, LA.

Pallbearers: Jonathon Worley, Jackson Worley, Jayden Worley, Keegan Arthur, Caleb Brown, Jarret Worley, Conner Gandy, and Micah Sparks.

Honorary Pallbearers: Cole Gandy, Hunter Gandy, Nelson Horn, Levi Mitchell, Jude Bowling, Wylder Bowling, Harrison Arthur, and Judah Sepulvado.
