Minnie Leola Craft Robertson

Funeral services for Minnie Robertson will be held at Pine Grove Baptist Church on August 25, 2022 at 12:00 PM. The wake will be from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12 noon at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Bignar, Rev. Dean Johnson and Rev. Rickey Robertson officiating.

Minnie Craft Robertson was born on November 15, 1931 at Kisatchie, LA and she was the daughter and youngest child of Arthur Clyde and Annie Mae Phares Craft. She was preceded in death by her husband B. D. (Bud) Robertson, her parents, and her two brothers, Mac D and Lewis G. Craft.

She is survived by three sons, Rev. Rickey and wife Patsy of Peason, LA, Ronnie and wife Karen of Peason, LA and Kendall and wife Tracey of Peason, LA; two grandchildren, Kendall Garrett Robertson and Anna Robertson Heard; three great grandchildren, Bralee, Bentlee, and Braden, and another great grandchild on the way, Joel Jackson Heard. And she had a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

After graduating at the age of 16 from Kisatchie High School she enrolled at Northwestern State college in Natchitoches. At the age of 20 she graduated and began a 31-year teaching career. Her first two years at Fairview-Alpha, then on to Plainview High School, and after consolidation in 1965 she taught at Florien High School until she retired in 1981. She taught literally hundreds of students, with the majority in her Home Economics classes. She was 1 of only 2 surviving teachers of Plainview High School. At the time of her death, she was the oldest member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Peason.

The Robertson Family would like to thank the staffs of Oschner/LSU Hospital, Sabine Medical Center, and Sabine Retirement and Rehabilitation, Pine Grove Baptist Church, Hospice of Leesville, and the many family members, friends, and neighbors who have came and showered us with their prayers and love. Donations in her memory may be made to the Gideons International or Pine Grove Baptist Church.
