John H. Britt

John Britt, 70, was born November 19th, 1951, and passed away August 18th, 2022. John was best known for always having a hard work ethic. He opened his own welding and fabrication business in 1990 in Zwolle. He later owned a chipping and fuel business and was able to design and manufacture his own Britt Logging Trailer. He retired in 2010 and then enjoyed his days sitting on the front porch overlooking the lake and taking care of his fur babies.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen Britt; son, Chris Britt; his beloved fur baby, Sassie; special cousin, Agnes Touchton Aaron; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Riley Thomas Britt and Syble Colten Britt; and brother, Charles Lewis Britt. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 19th until time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 20th. The visitation and funeral service will be held at New Freedom Fellowship Church, 660 Hwy 1215, Many, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be John’s lifelong friend, Pastor Dean Holman, Pastor of New Freedom Church. Interment will follow at Noble Cemetery, Noble, Louisiana.
