Jerry Grant, 63, of Zwolle, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on June 27, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 located at Aimwell Baptist Church in Zwolle, Louisiana. Funeral services honoring the life of Jerry will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the church. Officiating the service will be Bro. Ronnie Sandifer with Bro. Steve Neesley assisting. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.

Jerry was born on February 27, 1959 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to James Grant and Mary Viola Sepulvado Grant-Leone. Jerry loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. They were his entire world and the light of his life. Jerry was a member and deacon of Aimwell Baptist Church in Zwolle, Louisiana. He was extraordinarily strong in his faith, devoted to reading the Bible, and preaching the good word of the Lord to others. Jerry was a supervisor for the railcar manufacturing industry. In his free time, he enjoyed being in the outdoors and fishing. The love, care, and support of his family kept him motivated to live his best life every day. Jerry was given a new outlook on life 15 years ago when his wife and lifetime partner, Bonnie, gave him a kidney to help improve and prolong his time here on Earth.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Mary V. Leone and stepfather, Raymond Leone. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Bonnie Grant of Zwolle, LA; father, James Grant and wife Lee of Fayetteville, NC; daughters, Kelley Paddie-Sims and husband Randy of Zwolle, LA, Shelley Grant of Lufkin, TX, and Tanya Grant-Davis and husband Rodrick of Lufkin, TX; stepsisters, Helen Grant of Raleigh, NC and Tanya Parks of Richmond, VA; stepbrother, Gerald Leone and wife Kimberly of Zwolle, LA; grandchildren, Tatyana Eldridge, Te’Ana Eldridge, Diyon Davis, Tay ‘Lee Davis, and Kingsley Sims; uncle, George Grant of Hamlet, NC; aunt, Doris Grant of Hamlet, NC; and his fur-baby, Lexi Lou; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Honoring Jerry as pallbearers will be Gerald Leone, Jr., David Martinez, DJ Martinez, Danny Martinez, Jerry Johnson, Dennis McGaha, and Scott Debose. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Randy Sims, Rodrick Davis, Gerald Leone, and George McRae.
