Edward Thomas Dappen

Edward Dappen, 79, of Zwolle entered into eternal rest on March 12, 2022.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, Louisiana. Interment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery located at 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63125.

Edward was born on November 2, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to Edward Bernard Dappen and Cleophas Ann Fisher Dappen.

Retired Captain Edward T. Dappen was a decorated war hero from the Vietnam War. He lived his life the way he wanted and loved his children and grandchildren to the moon and back! He was the BEST Uncle to all the Gorski Clan and the BEST Brother-In-Law in the WORLD!

Preceding Edward are his parents, Edward and Cleophas Dappen; and brother-in-law, Jerry Gorski.

He is survived by his daughter, Phyllis A. Suntrup and husband Steve of Brentwood, MO; his son, David E. Dappen and wife Veronica of Martinsville, IN; his grandsons, Stephen Suntrup, Jr. of St. Louis, MO and Thomas Suntrup of St. Louis, MO; his sister, Phyllis Ann Gorski of Chicago, IL; his niece and nephews, Jackie Gorski of Mobile, AL, Andy Gorski and wife Paula of Chicago, IL, and Brian “Obie” Gorski and wife Andrea of Chicago, IL; his great nieces, Olivia Gorski and Elizabeth Gorski of Mobile, AL, and Emily Gorski of Chicago, IL; and his great nephews, Andrew Gorski, Joe Gorski, John Gorski, and Brian Ernie Gorski, of Chicago, IL.
