Ezra James Powell was born on Monday, October 30, 1950 in Zwolle, LA. He passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Many Health Care North in Many, LA.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Vincent Powell; mother, Grace S. Powell; brother, William Monroe Powell.

He is survived by his wife, Velda Powell of Florien, LA.; godson, Daniel Downs and wife Jacqualyn of Florien, LA.; goddaughter, Deana Shelly and husband Ross of Florien, LA.; godson, Douglas Downs and wife Brittany of Florien, LA.; goddaughter, Heather Smith and husband Christopher of Bentonville, Ar.; goddaughter, Amanda Stokes and husband Jeff of Edmond, OK.; goddaughter, Emily Powell and financee, Sarah of Queen Creek, AZ.; grandchildren, Maddie Marr, Sawyer Fitch, Daylyn Shelly, Cora Downs, Saylor Fitch, Lyric Smith, Caylee Downs, Rylie Shelly, Demi Downs, Drew Downs, Dylan Downs, and Baylor Downs; along with a host of family and friends.
