Also, six great-grandchildren: Bailee Mitchell, Chandler Mitchell, Avery Mitchell, Lillian Mitchell, Braylon Normand and Ridge Wilson; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful and loving wife, Coda Leach Wright; his mother, Martha Wright; father, Cecil Wright; and brother-in-law Leslie Lites.

Lucius was an avid Many High School sports fan. You could always find him in the stands or along the fence line supporting the Tigers. He enjoyed seeing the young athletes succeeding on and off the field and court. He especially loved watching the Lady Tigers basketball and softball teams. Always willing to lend a hand, you could often find him helping the coaches work on the fields.

Lucius was definitely a people person. He never met a stranger and loved to visit at ballgames or the grocery store. His sons always said, a thirty-minute trip to the store with Dad would sometimes turn into an hour or more because he would speak to everyone that he knew.

One of the joys of his life was watching his granddaughter Alaina ride her horses. He loved to watch her go around the ring at their house and was proud of her accomplishments during competitions. He would talk about this often to family and friends.

Although he will be missed greatly, we are so happy that he is finally reunited with our Mom. He had missed her so much the last 32 years.

Those honoring him as pallbearers are Scott Lites, Gage Lites, James Wilson, Bruce Mitchell, Landon Edwards, Whit Rankin, and Ethan Knippers

In lieu of flowers, the family requests friends to donate to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home, PO Box 4196, Monroe, LA 71211 or to the charity of your choice in memory of Lucius Wright.
