Bobbie Joy Pitt

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Bobbie Pitt of Houston, Texas on October 8, 2021 at the age of 91 years old. Bobbie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Robert (Vonita) Pitt of Appleby, Texas; and Joyce (Marcus) Maresh of Houston, Texas; her sisters, Maggie Duhamel of Stonewall, Louisiana; and Billie Hammond (Jim) of Florien, Louisiana. Nine grandchildren, Melinda (Kevin) Cheatwood; Tony Pitt; David (Cris) Pitt; Martin (Margaretha) Garrett; Scott Garrett; Christian (Deanne) Garrett; Jonathan; Amanda; and Kristin Maresh; Twelve great-grandchildren, Roary; Bella; Nicholas; Taylor; Samantha; Adrianna; Cameron; Allie; Brandon; Dylan; Natalie and Vivian; and four great great grandchildren, Paisley; Brandy; Landry; and Jameson.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Harold Royal Pitt; her daughter, Mary Garrett; her mother, Nancy Exie Randolph; her father, William Thomas Horton; and five sisters; Linda and Trudie Stroud; Annie Howell; Nancy Carroll; and Lona Ford.

Bobbie was a woman of God, and loved church. She was a member of Gandy Baptist Church in Florien until she moved to Houston and attended First Baptist Church of Pasadena. Bobbie enjoyed sewing and crocheting in her free time, along with spending time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by many.

A viewing will be held at 1:00PM at Warren Meadows funeral home, 355 Capitol St. Many, LA 71449, a service following at 2:00PM on Friday, October 15, 2021 by Lynn Lindsay. Bobbie will be laid to rest at Florien Cemetery at US-171, Florien, LA 71429.
