Funeral services honoring the life of Johnny Paddie, Jr. were held on Friday, September 17, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Zwolle. Officiating the service will be Fr. Keith Garvin. Interment will be held at Converse Cemetery, Converse.

Johnny was born on April 19, 1954, in Shreveport to Johnny Rheet Paddie, Sr. and Mary Laverne Procell Paddie. He entered into eternal rest on September 13, 2021, in Many.

Johnny had a way, and if he knew you, he always knew you, wherever he seen you. He loved his daughter, Kelly Paddie Sims and he loved people, large families, and his friends that became part of his family. He loved to cook for anyone and could cook very well. Johnny loved to help at church with food give away. He loved going to morning mass with friends he had there, until he had no way of going when his car broke down. He would tune in to the radio every morning listening to Gospel music, weather, and news. Johnny took care of his mother and was there for her every need. He will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Rheet Paddie, Sr.; and his brothers, Curtis Allen Paddie, Sr.; Richard Perry Paddie.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Laverne Procell Paddie of Noble; daughter, Kelly Paddie-Sims and husband Randy of Zwolle; sisters, Billie Wanda LaRue and husband Donald of Zwolle; Myrtle Ann Miller and husband Paul of Florien; and Mary Annette Paddie of Zwolle; brother, Robert Lynn Paddie of Keithville; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Honoring Johnny as pallbearers were John Melvin Miller, Phillip Etheridge, Robert Lynn Guyer, Randy Sims, Elvis Procell, Gary Procell, Joe Glen Manshack (Hoppy), Dewayne Mitchell, and Allen Sepulvado. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Keith Lopez, Joey Lopez, Donald LaRue, and Paul Miller.
