She married Eugene Wilton Frémaux II on July 13, 1963, in Pineville. After her husband’s graduation from Louisiana Tech, they moved to Slidell in 1967. She was active with the Volunteers In Missions, saying “Mission work can be a life-changing experience. People who give their time and abilities to complete a project often receive a rich spiritual reward for their efforts. The time spent preparing for the mission, gathering materials and making arrangements culminates with a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. Knowing that your work has helped people in need is deeply satisfying. But the ultimate reward is being involved in God’s work, helping bring about God’s Kingdom on earth.” She was also actively involved with Heifer Project International. She was a member of the Many Lioness Club where she served as the club’s President from 1983-1984, was a member of the Board of Directors from 1984-1986, and served as the College Scholarship Chairman from 1984-1988. She then joined the Many Lions Club as its first lady member in 1990. She served as the second vice-president from 1991- 1992, as the first vice-president from 1992-1993, and on June 22, 1993 was the first lady to be installed as the President of the Many Lions Club. As its President she sought for continued support for the Lions Crippled Children’s Camp outside Leesville, a raise in the Lions Club Scholarship amount, and a building of the clubs membership. Additionally, she was a long time member of United Methodist Women, continued to serve on various church committees, and was an avid bird watcher and lover of animals.
