Funeral services honoring the life of 13-year-old Savellia Rose Garvin were held on October 29, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many with Rev. Ronnie Sandifer officiating. Interment were held at Bethsadia Cemetery in Zwolle.

Savellia Rose Garvin was born January 20, 2006 to Rebecca Garvin and Michael Nova and she went home to be with her maker on October 24, 2019. Although she lost her daddy, Michael; she was Blessed to have another daddy that God brought into her life and he raised her as his own; Rayford McComic, Jr. She loved with all of her heart, this was very true of her family and friends; especially of her niece and her cousin. She wanted what was best for everyone! Forever and always trying to lift the spirits of those around her; she always wanted to make everyone smile. In addition, she was a very hilarious and thoughtful young lady who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outside with nature and animals of all kinds.

Preceding Savellia in death were her father, Michael Nova; her grandmother, Linda McComic; and grandfather, Clarence Garvin. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her mother, Rebecca Garvin of Zwolle; father, Rayford McComic, Jr of Zwolle; grandparent, Rayford McComic, Sr. of Zwolle; grandparent, Lisa Renee Tucker of Lafayette; grandparent, Clay Upchurch of Lafayette; sister, Elizabeth Dillard of Zwolle; sister, Selena Garvin of Zwolle; sister, Halie McComic of Zwolle; sister, Courtney McComic of Zwolle; and brother, Tullis McComic of Zwolle. In addition, Savellia was blessed with an extended family which included her aunt, Jamie Byron (Robert) of Zwolle; aunt, Krystal Tucker (Jonathon) of Zwolle; aunt, Joanne Mc-Comic (Thomas) of Many; and aunt, Amelia Pacheco of Tesuque, New Mexico. She also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.

Honoring Savellia as pallbearers were Robert Meshell, Sr., Robert Meshell, Jr., Jessie Leone, Calvin Brewster, Dawson Sepulvado, Austin Tyler, and Thomas McComic. Honorary pallbearers serving Savellia were Jonathon Wells, Sr. and Lee Wayne Carpenter, Sr.
