Roy was born December 29, 1948 in Shreveport, LA to Leo Marshall Windham, Sr. and Shirley Ann Nichols Windham and passed away on September 16, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2019 at Lewing Town Chapel at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral in Many, LA on Wednesday, September 17 , 2019 from 5:00PM-10:00 PM.

Roy was honorably discharged from the Army as a Sergeant in 1976 after serving a tour in the Vietnam War. While protecting his country Roy was recognized with several medals and badges which included: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Service Star, Purple Heart, and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge.

Preceding Roy in death were his parents, Leo Windham, Sr. and Shirley Ann Nichols Windham; and his brother, Leo (Bud) Windham, Jr. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda Windham of Grand Cane, LA; daughter, Darlene Cassell and husband, Rand of Many, LA; son, Dobber Windham and wife, Tonya of Many, LA; and daughter Felicia Jordan of Grand Cane, LA. Also left behind to mourn their papa are his grandchildren: Cecily and Jerrin Morvan, Blake and Hannah Savell, Colton and Shelly Windham, Cayli Windham, Cameron Windham, Hannah Windham, Maci Windham, Brianna Sepulvado, Hallie Morales, Brock, Carson Brock Kyle Oxley, Jordan Boatman, Skyler Boatman, Kylea Semons, and Michael Semons. Roy was also blessed with ten great grandchildren who will miss his dearly; Zoey Procell, Gavin Lawhorn, Weston Savell, Ella Grace Greer, Stella Windham, Lydia Windham, Destiny Morvan, Jacey Morvan, Gabe Morvan, and Haelyn Morvan. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Honoring Roy as pallbearers will be Colton Windham, Blake Savell, Cameron Windham, Kyle Long, Jerrin Morvan, and Rocky Windham. His honorary pallbearers will be James Withers, Sammy Clifton, Reggie Ballard, Jackie Bivens, Paul Hagerty, and Danny Ryder.
