Funeral services for Patsy Hodges Rayburn, 73, of Many, were held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Manning and Bro. Doug Carter officiating. Burial followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery.

Patsy Rayburn was born on Wednesday, November 29, 1944 in Rocky Hill, Texas. She loved to praise the Lord, singing old gospel songs, read the Bible, sew beautiful quilts, and cook amazing bakery goods. She left this earthly home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus face to face on Monday, November 26, 2018 at her home in Many. Patsy will be remembered by many as a loving Christian mother, sister, Nanie, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry G. Rayburn; parents, Virgil and Estelle (Thomas) Hodges; brothers, Gary Michael Hodges and Virgil Duane Hodges.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Shafer of Florien, and Valerie Williams, husband Richard of Keithville; sisters, Lucretia Inscore and husband Robert of Harper, Texas, Viola Nelson and husband Rodney of New Waverly, Texas, Rebecca Serres and husband Michael of Humble, Texas; brother, William David Hodges and wife JoAnn of Conroe, Texas; grandchildren, Krystal Armstrong and husband Thomas of Stonewall, Christopher Brimer of Austin, Texas, Olivia Scott and husband Vincent of Florien, and Alexis Allen of Shreveport; great grandchildren, Xavior Scott and Maria Claire Armstrong; fur baby, Stella; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were Michael Serres, Michael Scott Serres, Christopher Brimer, Jared Hodges, Travis Hodges and Duane Hodges.

Honorary Pallbearers were Richard Williams, Thomas Armstrong and Vincent Scott.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Nick and the staff of MD Anderson and also Hospice of Leesville.
