Funeral services for Janice Ann Treese, 85, of Florien were held November 1 at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many with the Rev. Brady Anderson and Bro. Stuart Martin officiating. Burial followed in the Prospect Cemetery in Florien. Jan was born on January 27, 1933 in New Orleans and passed away October 28, 2018, after a lengthy illness, in the hospital in Leesville. She loved the Lord and loved her church. If you ever met Jan, you loved her. She never met a stranger and loved everyone with her whole heart. She loved her family and enjoyed every minute spent with them. She loved to dance, play bingo, and run the kitchen at the VFW Hall. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 26 years, James Leggett; second husband of 26 years, Robert Treese; daughter, Pamela Douglas; father and mother, Loisel Scioneaux and Stella LeBlanc Scioneaux; and her sisters and brothers. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Wanda Rhodes and husband, Richard, of Hornbeck; sister, Gail Jacobs and husband, Gerald, of Donaldsonville; brother, Joe Scioneaux of Donaldsonville; step-daughters, Rita Lewing and husband, Rue, of Many, Margaret Nixon and husband, Bill, of Florien, Debbie Perser and husband, Larry, of Florien and Reba Lane of Many; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Brady Anderson, Cade Martin, Dakota Eason, Tyler Martin, Dillon Nixon and Hunter Nixon. Honorary pallbearers were Eugene Rhodes, Stephen Martin, Stuart Martin, Bruce Dugan and Cody Craft.
