Recently, we had a power point presentation at church where church members recalled things their father said as they were growing up. It was kind of a words of wisdom program, that the congregation enjoyed. (Thanks to Laurie Gentry!)

I started thinking about things my parents said to me as they guided me through my younger and teen years. Seems like Mom was more vocal than Daddy, but it sure was fun walking down memory lane, remembering how they reminded me of important things!

--“Sit up straight!” (If I was slouching (heaven forbid), Mom would hit me in the back with her fist to straighten me up!) To this day, I sit up straight, even when driving!
